Glen, when I read about needing 55 gallons my first thought was you need to rebuild the engine. Then it occurred to me what you meant. That would be big fuel bills also.

David, any word on Jack or did I miss it?

The retreat was interesting. Our group got the prize for our ideas for improving employee retention.

We had such stuff as a zip line from the main building to the offices. An open bar with free Uber rides. Game room. Nap room/lounge. Free child care, free health care. Yes, the CFO was in our group with the free stuff.

For Thursday we have to come up with a super hero character for ourselves. I told the CEO I thought about Captain Cup because I protect the unseen yet very sensitive parts of our campus. I probably will do something more like a US Marshal or something. I am open to ideas.

Leo was an interesting person. When he showed up for his first US Open aerobatic competition he showed up in a monoplane and it did not even have a symmetrical airfoil when everyone else had a Pitts or Eagle and they all laughed at him. He did OK that year and won the next. Then won several more. They all stopped laughing and most went out and bought monoplanes. The plane in the video is only 200hp but under 900# dry. He modified a Stephens Akro into the plane that now sits in the Air and Space museum. He was building a new one because he thought the Laser did not have enough control authority to do what he wanted. Yes, he wanted to throw it around even more. Sadly he dies in a motorcycle accident before it was finished.

It would be a blast to play airplane laser tag with those, though my brain would probably be all combobulated and backwards in my head afterwards.

The GTS buyer called this morning and said his wife decided she didn't want him buying the car. We had been talking a lot about our cars. He had owned a lot of P cars, 914, 944Turbo, 911s, etc. and he is a car guy. Currently has a Cayenne S, 911 GTS, and a couple of 928s including a Widebodied GT. Said his wife was listening to us talk and after hearing my experience with the 944T and Lindsey Racing and that turned her against the car. We were planning to our respective banks this morning and make arrangements so he could come with trailer Thirsday and if he didn't find any major issues call his bank and wire the monies so I would have the money in the bank when he drove off with the car.

Oh, well. I'm sure it will sell because of the unique desirable color. Was just hoping I didn't have to go thru the hassle of advertizing.

Glad haven't been looking for or more importantly found another sports car .

The word on Jack is that there are two growths on his spleen. Most likely cancer. At 12 we can't decide if surgery is the right thing or to just let him be in comfort till its time.

Hmmmm, when I try to link a youtube it just makes a blank area and no video.

Back when was Art Director for montly bulletins for Businesses, Elementary and Secondary Schools I usually had to wait till late at night for the writers to finish their articles just before deadline. I used the time to place myself in the photos. It was my secret Where is Richard game.

There were all kinds of picutures I put me into. Edited in myslft as the pilot in the shot of a crop duster, driving a carriage full of people. Even made my face reliefed in an aerial shot of the Andes mountains and the bark of a tree.

The first one I did was my favorite. It was a historical B/W picture of Edison and his Pioneeers. A group shot of Edison and his 40 or so pioneers standing in front of the old 3 story brick building. I put myself in a window of the building behind them looking out at the group.

Not what we wanted either. He has been such a great dog I hate to see him suffer but I don't think he would do well with surgery. He has trouble getting up and down as it is. We need to hear from the vet how long and what to look for at this point.

Sorry for the news about Jack.

This is the Zivko Edge 540. It is designed and built about 200 yards from where we keep our 172. They have a large hangar, and some huge carbon fiber ovens. Just a little family owned operation in Guthrie, OK.

Those planes are literally flying the prop. I hate to watch them to much as I once saw a guy pile in an Eagle when I was a kid. He attempted a hammer-head and didn't get the alt required and it turned over and went straight in. No explosion as it was short on fuel.

Glen, those are used in the Red Bull air races. They are quite the animal.

The take off in the Leo video is what inspired my takeoff in the full motion flight sim at the SAC museum. After patiently listening to the guy tell me how to fly while Em was trying to tighten her harness.

Yea, I was always amazed that a little family owned business can design and build a world class stunt plane. There was a story of some Russian pilot that came to pick up his custom ordered airplane. He was going to fly it it to some shows, and then get it shipped to Europe.

So did you just put the youtube url inside the yt brackets? Or paste in the embed frames text from Youtube?
Does it show up when you preview the post in Advanced?

An inquiring mind wants to know.

Just north of us they build stunt planes and just south a guy builds a bush plane that takes off at like only 20 mph and less than 75 ft.. Says you haven't flown until you pull up to go over barbed wire fences.

Okay, so now it works.

The build that killed my GTS sale.
