Yup. Right back into the house and then the pipes would burst. I hate it when that happens.

My sprinkler system has a freeze and rain sensor. It we get more than a 1/4 inch of rain or it gets down to 38 degrees, it will prevent the system from running. It has not run in quite a while. No need. It is still cloudy, I think the sunshine was stolen. We did get another "major rain" of .02 inches.

I can flip a switch and bypass the sensor if I want to but no reason to now.

Here it gets cold enough that if you leave a hose on your spigot the water will freeze back into the house. Your system probably enters/exits the house a different way.

David, we don't need no stinking indoor pool. That is where the computers and big TV/projector/indoor Laserlyte range are. It might cause a bit of an electrical issue.

Ah the good ol days. In HS drove a 68 Ford Country Squire Wagon. Don't remember where I got the free tires, but they were fantastic. It got around great on mud, ice, and snow.

Had a date to take a girl to a concert, think it was Jackson Brown. Her Dad met me at the door an told me he didn't want his daughter going out with a foot of snow on the ground. Thought it was kind of funny because I had taken her sledding the day before. Was invited to spend the evening at her house instead, and did. Fixed some snacks and was going to watch a movie on TV. Her Mom told us they didn't want to watch or even hear the movie and sent us to the basement. The basement had a TV, couch, and ping pong table. It was a 3 story house with a basement and the den the parents were in was on the third floor.

There are a few patches of blue through the clouds. The temp is above freezing.

Mrs Carrera decided we needed a different faucet for the Roman-tub-Jacuzzi that I have never used even once. So off to the HUGE plumbing place. We talk to a sales lady and they figure out what we need, and get it ordered from their distribution warehouse. As I am waiting for her to decide, I look around at the different faucets and shower heads. They have one that almost looks like it could dispense a cappuccino while it showers your head and belly at the same time. It is silly elaborate, and "only" cost 6 grand! For a freaking faucet for a shower. It would have to do more than dispense water for that much money. We did NOT buy that.

Our house came with the stupid Kohler Water Haven shower. That is the reason we have a 120 gal hot water tank. It has been discontinued for a while now and it leaks. Hate the thing. I do have to admit, when it was working properly it was a really nice way to take a shower.

More rain in SoCal. It looks like we’ll have a few hours break from rain in the early afternoon, then back at it. Thanks Mother Nature!

Wheeeeee. Fun in the garage. I spent much of the day working on the new fan switch for the 911. Instead of just three speeds, I have a totally variable speed switch. And I get a LED light to tell me if the compressor is running or not. The Kuehl system normally has spectacular instruction. Not for the switch install. There are a few gaps and head scratchers. I got it figured out, and am almost done putting it all back together. I should finish tomorrow. If I did this for a living only folks that buy Singers own big yachts could afford me. Or I would starve.

I've got two Singers. They are sewing machines and not really worth very much.

But do know how to use them. Made these seat belt pads with Porsche Logo embroidered patches...

The young lady in the photo, Joy claimed she could sew, but could only sew together one pad to my 4.
Made 60 sets given away as door prizes at the Porsche Powwow car show the local PCA hosted.

Worked great for tightening and locking down your seat belt for autocross, and making the shoulder belts more comfortable in general.

The logo usage rules at the time were that local PCA chapters could use the Porsche logo, but could not put anything near the logo and could not sell anything with the logo on it. Chapters were not even allowed to use the Porsche logo in their own club logo. The PCA even had to re-negotiate the usage of Porsche in Porsche Club of America every few years.

The singer I was using as an example is the 911 reimaged by Singer. They are nucking futz expensive and each is “bespoke” and total custom made. Really cool car, but for that much i would prefer a RUF.

You prefer a dog bark to a sewing machine? Totally makes sense to me.

Still raining here. Seattle South.

Remember a show I saw that Tanner Foust hosted. It was a supercar shootout. The cars went one on one, did a slalom, a 180 turn, then back down a 1/4 mile straight.
Invited all kinds of supercars and rebadged supercars. They invited one guy they knew had a CarreraGT. Instead he brought his 911 Turbo or so it was badged. He would not tell what powered it or if anything had been done, and wouldn't let them even look under the hood. Just said it was his Mom's grocery getter and that he brought it over the CarreraGT because he didn't want to bring a knife to a gun fight. Tanner knocked on a rear fender and made a comment that it was not metal. It looked and sounded like a stock 911 turbo.

As they went thru the races this guy's car would get a car length ahead early, then just stay one car length ahead thru the finish. The last race with the 2nd fastest he did the same thing getting a car length ahead until they came to the straight. Then this guy just shot down the straight leaving the 2nd fastest car like it was standing still. It was jaw dropping.

Never did say who the tuner was or what all they had done to that car.
The 2nd fastest was one of those ff 911s or 9ff how ever you say it.

The Singer is really a fantastic car. But like I said a RUF would be my choice if I had a bit over half a million to spend.

I have sat in the original RUF yellowbird. Got to see it run in Hershey for the 50th Porsche Parade. It was just incredible. RUF does not even allow for a sunroof because at 200 mph they tend to get sucked out.

Not ever gonna be an issue for me.

Just watched a 3 hour pod cast thing that Joe Rogan hosts interviewing Ted Nugent. Talked about growing up, music, hunting, guns, politics. Very interesting. Thought Ted was okay before, like him even more now.
