Morning all. Been a restful week with no chemo till next week. They are skipping the one med and using one we started with but held back for 4 weeks. I will be really tired and worn out after it kicks in.

Just keep fighting and keep a positive mental attitude.

We have that strange water falling from the sky again. Almost 1/2 an inch so far and more expected tonight. No lumpy hunks of ice falling and no spinning winds.

Happy Friday all. The MINI gets new tires today. Went with Michelin’s from Tire Rack delivered to a local shop.

Have an especially great day David.

I will soon need another set of tires for the El Camino. I just turned 387,000 miles and I have no idea how many sets of tires I have bought for it. I fondly remember the days of out the door prices of under $400.

Tire Rack is now owned by Discount Tire. That is where we got the new tires for my wife's Macan. There is a Tires Plus across the street that fixes flats for free. I may use them as I have bought from them many times. I will price shop both stores. Another reason to use them is they are next door to Harbor Freight and Northern tool. I can go wander around in there looking for a tool I just "need" to get and spend enough time that the tires will be ready.

At least you aren't in the dead of winter with a bad furnace.

Phew, a long day. I met with the PCA national tours chair and her husband today. We took basically two tours and kinda rolled them into one to see the route, where to stop for bladder relief stops and fuel. Then to the destinations.

Pawnee Bill was much like Buffalo Bill, just lesser known. The ranch is still there as is a heard of bison, and longhorn cattle.

We also stopped at the Pioneer woman museum and then the Marland Mansion. At one point Mr. Marland owned 10% of the know world's oil reserves. He built a mansion that is now owned buy Ponca City but run as a museum. It is like 48,000 square feet, and we will tour it, and have lunch in one of the dining rooms.

We saw other interesting sights and destinations. Long day with good intel gathered.

Parade 2025 will be epic!

Yesterday was back home to reality of home ownership. I was allowed to edge and mow the yard. Lots of fun to be had!

I even had to go get more gas for the lawn equipment, and add in Stabil to keep the gas good all summer.

evening all. They did chemo yesterday and I am currently hooked to a pump. CTscan results and CA 19-9 test as well. I need to have it translated to non doctor before I say anything about it.

Yea, sometimes one needs an education in medical terms to understand the test results.

Keep fighting!

Yesterday on the way back to the El Camino from the breakfast place we frequent every Sunday, I noticed my front left driver's side tire was nearly flat. Crap. We were just a mile from home, so I drove it home. I fired up the air compressor to try to find the leak. That was easy, it was the valve stem. So I air it up more, and used some duct tape to hold the stem in the least leaky position, and pulled it out to the driveway. I got the scissor lift ready, and put the Elky in the air and removed the tire.

This morning I took it to the tire shop I use, and they fixed it for free. It is back on, and the Elky is ready to drive. Now I need to change clothes again.

Morning all. Well last weeks chemo didn't go sideways and I got the full dose. The only problem is that based on labs its not working. I have to wait a week from today to find out what is next.

That sucks David. Hopefully they have a next treatment that works.

I am meeting a long time buddy in our region of PCA for lunch today. He has some historical photos of War Bonnet Tech for the 70th historical display at Parade this year. He is a 50 year member, and I am a 49 year member. I have been digging up some of my old WBR Tech items and old club photos. The star of the display will be the 1952 356 pre-A cabriolet, that is THE oldest Porsche sold new in North America. The member has a two volume history of the car from the original sale from Max Hoffman and every former owner. At one point it was sold at an auction for $10. It is pristine and it will be a big hit.

That sounds really cool. Wish I was going but it to far for me to travel at this point. Now a trip across town wears me out, great excuse for a nap.

One of my wife's friends from 3rd grade on stayed overnight here for two nights. She bought us breakfast this morning.

I just returned from a 45 mile round trip to the OKC hazardous waste disposal site. I had 5 gallons of old motor oil, two gallons of antifreeze and some old dead rechargeable batteries from my computer UPS and a few other items. Except for the drive there and back, it is free to residents of OKC.

I went a few weeks ago and they were closed for on-site training. That was really annoying to just take my crap for a ride, and bring it home. It is all gone now and will be disposed of properly.

It is a nice service for residents, and it keeps that crap out of the landfills, and out of illegal dumps.

The auto chemicals I can drop locally at O'Reilly's for free. Batteries I have to drop in Dubuque for free at the battery shop and can drop them whenever I am in town which is often.

I also dropped off some old paint, and an old old bottle of some insecticide.

I replaced the windshield wipers on my wife's Macan. The fronts may be the easiest wiper replacement I have ever done. The rear is a bit of a monkey puzzle, and once I figured out the puzzle, it snapped into place with a bit of pushing.

The old ones were the original ones from 2017 that came on the car.
