Anybody here use a neti pot?

I have chronic nasal congestion so I decided to start using one on a fairly regular basis. Just using a warm water saline mix. These things really work for me. Really opens up sinuses. Also helps when I've been working in dusty environments. Any body use any other solutions like eucalyptus?

My girlfriend uses one. She likes it. I load it up with Vodka when she isn't looking...

i do. almost everyday. i have issues. if my nose clogs, i get minor panic attacks. the pot really helps me stay clear.
+ i work in a very dusty environment. even with a respirator, i get stuff "up there".

I use a squeeze bottle, and it works wonders. Took a few tries to really get the hang of it, to get used to squeezing water up my nose, but they really help.

Another for the NeliMed squeeze bottle w/ their mixture packets.

Use distilled water.

Very, very easy and effective.

Same here, but use my own mixture of distilled or boiled water, salt, and baking soda, and a bulb syringe. I used to have sinus infections 4-5 times a year (from my teens to late thirties), since starting I haven't had a sinus infection in over seven years!

I was intrigued, so I bought one when at Walgreens the other day. I'm not sure if it's done me any good or not, but then I don't have allergies. I read some stuff online. Sites saying "it's soothing". Uh huh, soothing. Well, it's not disturbing, so if not disturbing = soothing then sure, it's soothing. It's a bit of a weird experience, not pleasant, but not unpleasant.

Dunno, I'm trying it out for $15, then if I don't ever do it again, I've got a lovely teapot for when vash drops by.

Steve, a tip: When you're using the squeeze bottle, keep your mouth open and breathe out a bit, even to the point of actually saying "Aghhhhhhh" as you're squeezing. (Make sure to pronounce the "g"! )

Once you get the hang of it, it really is a no-brainer.

I use an old nasal pump (Zicam) which I fill with plain old saline solution. Water burns, saline doesn't. I use cheapo saline. One bottle lasts a very long time.

I spray morning and night and I wear a Breath-rite at night. Help a lot, especially with snoring.

If you suffer from seasonal allergies, you would be stunned at the improvement a simple saline rinse will give.

I like the big syringe model - more control and less spillage.
