Friend gave me a netbook.
I want to drive a second larger monitor along with the little one on board. How should I do this? Thanks My netbook has a port that the printer cable plugs into. KT

Sorry, I meant monitor/VGA cable plugs into.
It flashed the Microsoft screen on the second monitor at startup and then went to the netbook's screen after boot. KT

What OS?
On my dells there is a blue CRT/LCD print on one key... You hit the blue Fn key and hit the CRT/LCD and it cycles the different video options... |

XP, I think?
It'll be my streaming video viewer/blogger trackside at this weekend's race. I want a bigger screen that passers by can see. ![]() KT

Assuming it is XP...
Right click on the desktop--->properties--->settings---> select output When the monitor is plugged in XP should recognize it... |

I have it set where the second monitor becomes an extended desktop of the netbook.
I can open second windows there. I can put the in-car footage on the big screen and chat with you jokers on the netbook!! ![]() KT

I own the same Netbook - It is far easier than that.
Hold down the "Fn" key and press the "F5" key three times, and you will be monitor only. I do this everyday. Before unplugging the cable, do the above again, except 4 times. You will see that there are other options (Both on, etc) as you are cycling through the different configurations.
