Should I buy a 1980 911 GT2 Cab or a 1977 993 Coop?
So my homes Ken out in Cali hit me up wit a deal to buy one a his sweet rides he sez I can get tha GT2 for $15K or tha 993 for $10K. Aint got tha green fo both, which 1 would U buy?

haha - i would say neither as well but if you had to pick one my vote is the 993.
BUT for 10K you can do much much better |

993 for sure, the GT2 cab just looks wrong!!!!!!!
I you do go for the GT2 becuase of the engine....strip the panels off and put some 930 or 964 turbo panels on ;-) |

"GT2". Convertibles always get more looks. Add at least 2 more wing elements though.

The GT2 has got the maximum performance convertible thang going on (all the better for gettin' da honeys). The 993 is a pimpin' aubergine. You can't really lose with either whip. I'm a turbo guy, so I say go for the GT2.

Actually, I think the purple one has 964 Turbo S front fenders. They were halfway between the 964 and flatnose but pre-dated the 993. 993 fenders would not take the turbo flares which this car appears to have. The rear fenders are still 964.
The 964 Turbo S was actually a pretty cool special edition. The purple car might actually be a good base for a hot-rod build if it is rust free. As long as everything was going to be gone through anyway. ![]()
