Should I buy a 1980 911 GT2 Cab or a 1977 993 Coop?

So my homes Ken out in Cali hit me up wit a deal to buy one a his sweet rides he sez I can get tha GT2 for $15K or tha 993 for $10K. Aint got tha green fo both, which 1 would U buy?

haha - i would say neither as well but if you had to pick one my vote is the 993.

BUT

for 10K you can do much much better

993 for sure, the GT2 cab just looks wrong!!!!!!!

I you do go for the GT2 becuase of the engine....strip the panels off and put some 930 or 964 turbo panels on ;-)

"GT2". Convertibles always get more looks. Add at least 2 more wing elements though.

The GT2 has got the maximum performance convertible thang going on (all the better for gettin' da honeys). The 993 is a pimpin' aubergine. You can't really lose with either whip. I'm a turbo guy, so I say go for the GT2.

Actually, I think the purple one has 964 Turbo S front fenders. They were halfway between the 964 and flatnose but pre-dated the 993. 993 fenders would not take the turbo flares which this car appears to have. The rear fenders are still 964.

The 964 Turbo S was actually a pretty cool special edition.

The purple car might actually be a good base for a hot-rod build if it is rust free. As long as everything was going to be gone through anyway.
