What was your first post on PP?

Looking at Red-Beard's thread about getting close to 20K posts had me going back to looking for my first post on PP. Was back on October 4, 2000. It was also the first time I was honored to meet Early_S_Man (if only thru his response).

How do you find your first post? A computer illiterate wishes to know..

Not as easy as it used to be. What I did was go to the 911 Tech Forum as I knew that is where I first posted. Then go down to the bottom left and change the display threads from the "last 45 days" to from "the beginning." Then start looking thru the threads around the time you first signed on.

I bet someone else will know an easier way.

I tried, but can't get rid of last 45 days...oh well, probably wasn't anything important.

First Post: "Are there any grease points on the 911?"

I actually started posting to the 944 board with... gasp... questions about my car!

At some point we were talking about rifles and Z-man bumped the thread to OT.

It has been a slippery slope since then.

A little more about my first post. Dantilla was one of the helpful responders and recommended that I check in with Pete Bristow here in Tacoma. I did that and have had a fine relationship with Pete for the last four years. He has taught me a lot, is an excellent diagnostician and mechanic, and is very patient with forgetful geezers.

Thank you, Dan!

9/22/05 after the first time I filled up my new-to-me 72T. I was asking how large it was.

Later I bought a manual!

Thanks...now I have that disc set in my ipod, along with nearly 1800 other tunes...played on a Mustang Bullitt 6 or 8 speaker (not sure which) stereo system.

Guess I've softened some over the years...

I think this should work.
1. Click on your name where it says "Welcome XXX"
2. Click on the statistics portion
3. Click on the posts by XXX
4. Click on the "last" page and see the first one.

Funny. My first post in 2002 was about Struts.
