The question is, why was he told not to post when he was trying to save others from having their engine or car stolen?
After all, we have a thread here on Motorsheister that is YEARS long detailing the illegal operations of a repair shop. Whats the difference? As well there are others (German Auto in Atlanta area and the used parts shop South of Chicago) who have done the very same thing. People were allowed to post all they wanted on these and many others.

Could have been any number of reasons, but I bet he had a good one. I'm thinking that eventually we'll know. |

Sammy,
Doubt that Wayne would back down because of a lawsuit. More like a "I will hurt your wife and kids" might do it. Who knows, and hopefully someday he will do the right thing and bring Mark back onboard.

Had Jimmy working on my car twice, no issues ... maybe me carrying a 45 helped 'clear bad thoughts'.
Thanks Joe.

Maybe Waynes precautions assisted in the apprehension and conviction of the man.

I was dimly aware of this situation and didn't actually realize the full extent of it. It's good to see a good ending to a story like this for once. The good guys always seem to get the short end of the stick.

way back when, when I first started my restoration project, Mr. JD helped me drop my non-running engine. He wanted me to take a pic of him standing in my 911's empty engine bay. I did, and I've since removed the silly pic from my album.

The people we got to work with us on this case were pretty much in the Southern part of the state. There were some up North but not many. We do feel that there are just as many if not more people up in your part of the state who Jimmy stole from and who are not in touch with us or the DA. Hopefully some others will see this thread and contact us or the DA. Joe

Good work Joe. Thieves suck. This is a great board and resource that has been extremely helpful and entertaining to me. Wayne runs a great board, I am curious though what his reasoning is that would protect those that have bad intentions. I want to know about these types and what harms they have brought to our community (Pelican). But that's just me.

Dan,
I want to know why Wayne was so strict about this too but I'm sure he had a good reason. For a very long time many of us hammered Jimmy on Pelican and tried to warn guys especially in So Cal. He got so pissed at me that I got threats from him privately. I guess we were really hurting his 'business'. Eventually we were all told to cease and desist any mention of his name. There was one yellow Cabriolet Turbo look that I got posted by a friend that was one of Jimmy's victim's car. That turned out to be one charge that he was convicted on. The pic was taken in an abandoned chop shop location and had at least five P car bodies inside in various states of dis-assembly. It's where Mark Fraser's car was eventually found...by Mark himself. That was the beginning of the end for JD. Jimmy wrote and cussed me no end for getting that pic (yellow car) posted. Made me smile ![]() So after we were banned from discussing JD in public we found ways to work under the radar. Jimmy was also banned from Pelican but used several new screen names to threaten us by using PM's Joe A likely got most of the serious threats. Mark went to local PD's and DA's who just didn't want to move on this. Eventually he got in touch with a CHP officer who worked specifically on this type stuff. It was the diligent work of this officer who finally got JD arrested and charged. After that, the work was really just beginning as many of us called the DDA in charge to get him to push for trial, no deals, and push hard on all counts. There must have been 10 or so of us who hounded this poor DDA ![]()

Joe and all who brought this guy down are to be commended. While I do not post often but do regularly lurk, I have much gratitude for those who give a crap about pursuing scumbags who take advantage of the integrity of this board. Not knowing Wayne's reasons for insulating this guy, I'm sure it will get reconciled soon.

JD Chit
Joekasa: My dealing with this JD Dude was limited to minor stuff on my 914 & 911restoration project. JD assisted me on dropping my engine, wheel bearing replacement and brake work. Even back then, he was difficult to pin down as to when he'd show up.
Even though JD didn't really scam me, I never let him leave with any of my parts. Too bad for me, I then got scammed by the famous SF Dude, Rich Kreiger, Fastclassic, Born2Bfast after i received the engine he "built", things in writing was never done, etc. I had to start completely over. Maybe this scumbag will see some of this justice. Steve 73 911T MFI Coupe, Aubergine |

Someone who "only" steal from one out of a hundred people is no less a thief.
I'm glad this POS is off the streets. I'm actually shocked that our legal system came through on this one - especially for a bunch of "rich" Porsche owners. I'd love to see a similar end come to other "Wenzelers" out there (a few of which have been mentioned here). Thieves have no honor and deserve to be treated as such. Joe and the others get a free round on me sometime.

Am a bit surprised that after this thread has been on the forum for four days at the top of the OT forum, almost four thousand views by Pelican members and almost 80 posts that not one person from Pelican has posted. They sure were quick to post (or delete our posts) when Jimmy was on the loose and stealing from us.
Mark Frasier is still not back on the forum. Jimmy Deering is still in prison and will be for a fairly long time. As well his last name is still being blanked out. Why? Sad to see...
