Very cool, Peter. One of my snowboarding buddies has the same lower leg replacement (ripped it off racing motorcycles). I can't keep up with him ..

Just saw this clip of Bethany yesterday: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8BJhTkv4LA

No, Bethany's footage is at Kelly Slater's wave pool.

I looked up N-land and wasn't that impressed .. a rather tiny wave @ $80 per hour (gag) .. and they don't share many wave photos on their website. However, there appears to be another wave pool in Texas that looks amazing ..

Friend of mine at our inlet a week or so ago. He's a year younger than me so about 62.

Has always maintained a very smooth yet powerful style.

Received a new slide viewer in the mail the other day and today took a few minutes to dive into some old slides I had stored away. Been well over 20 years since I looked at any of these.

I was surprised that I even had some of these......didn't remember having them but grateful because of the heritage they represent....if that's the right word (?)

I will be posted some on my FB account - there's still a huge circle of the old guard here who will appreciate and enjoy seeing some of these.

I owned several fishes including a David Nuuhiwa which would be a nice collector item today. Couple pics of me (wearing the glasses) with my friends Matt and John along with their fishes which were crafted by local board makers.

'72-'73 maybe......looks like Sunglow Pier in DB Shores.....

Couple more.....my Vega wagon with two sisters who hung with us and one of the more popular shops - MCC's. The MCC stood for the owner's...Kem McNair, Billy Chapin, and David Coffee. All 3 are still surfing and have played in a rock and roll band since these times. They still play at our Surfari Club parties and such. Kem is an amazing artist and photographer as well and at one time was the East Coast surfing champion.

That red board was a Jim Turner, I believe - or a Natural Art....

More of me.....on a trip to Eleuthera, with my friend Tom "Curless Mayfield" May and his 16' cat, and on the beach after a surf.

That white board was an MCG.....that's when Billy "Doc" Geiger took the place of Billy Chapin at MCC's and it became MCG's.... Doc later re-located to PR and has never been heard of since.....

Pretty cool "Mak", Geary!

The clear surfboard is a project by Angus Grace called Clear Surf Innovations.

This is the traction material
on the deck.

This is a video....not much surfing but that's all I could find:

Would still be if the photo was flipped. But the lifeguard stand does read backwards. So, what's up with all the goofy foots?

They practise both ways - the photo was taken when they were practising goofy foot....these kids are going to be awesome at switching stance!

From my slide collection.....
One of me at our inlet riding what would be the first of many Randy Richenberg boards through the 80's. This one was a twin with channels and swallowtail. Very fast! I remember that day and the photographer got a few more of me and quite a few others that beautiful Saturday.

Beautiful shot Baz. BTW...I've never seen a tan-brown wetsuit before ...And why do you guys wear your swim trunks over your tan-brown wetsuit?
