BS, he said he was in Desert Storm and swam in the Kuwaiti waters! Now he is back at it again, on a different board. One thing about Sniper, he may have been a nut-ball, but he never claimed to be more in the Army than he was.

He11 at one time I was a General....a GENERAL LATRINE ORDERLY...
I wouldn't be so quick to claim I was a General or Admiral....all it shows is how far you can and how good you are at sticking your nose up your superiors azz...

If everyone who claimed it was telling the truth, almost everyone in the US military would be in Special Forces, SEALs, etc... I swear every time someone tells me their son/father/brother/friend is/was in the military, they always say they did "top secret" stuff and couldn't talk about it. I don't like it one bit. I was just a peon in the military, like many, many others...

More than a couple elected officials have been found out... In the Internet age, it seems incredibly stupid to make that kind of claim.
But then when I was growing up, my parents knew a guy who worked at several hospitals and ultimately set up a prominent plastic surgery clinic -- who had never gone to medical school.

A guy that works for me was in the service but he doesn't talk about it.
A couple of co-workers tell he he was a sniper and a really good one and saw lots of really serious stuff in Iraq, and spent several months in a hospital and darn near died from battle wounds. He shaves his head and has a huge scar from his eye up to the top of his noggin. All he's ever said to me (with a smile) is he got a purple heart for it and it wasn't a good trade. I'd be willing to bet that if he ran across a guy pretending to be a military something or other and was lying, he'd tear him a new one. Seems like the ones who sacrificed the most talk about it the least. |

I later found proof that he was a disc jockey for armed forces radio in Taiwan. Never really cared for him much. |

Impersonating a general seems to be a bit of a tip off. How many generals have we ever had of his particular age? Isn't that a bit like me saying I was once on the board of directors for Ford? Which of course I was. That's when I traded my well set up 944 for a Mustang. |

I was finally able to confirm this guy had been arrested by the FBI for impersonating a commissioned general. He wore the uniform, donning a silver star, bronze star, and purple heart. He pled guilty several years back, but apparently did not learn his lesson. I am going to pay him a visit in the next few days. I am looking forward to this!

As someone who was in the Army, I hope you beat his ass. I worked with a guy that claimed he was in special forces. Just by his I.Q. level (room Temperature) I knew he was full of schitt but people believed he was telling the truth.
