PPOT bandwidth guilt - anybody else?

I've had seven Porsche 911s and bought a few parts from Wayne over the years. Most of my Pelican expenditures came when I had to rebuild my engine.

Now, as a non-Porsche owner with no immediate plans to become one, I sometimes feel guilty about hanging out here in Wayne's basement without contributing to the rent. Personally, I wish he would put a Paypal button at the top of the page for those of us who spend time here, but rarely any money. Anybody else?

PPOT is but a small bit in a much larger picture. And I don't see Wayne having to wear socks with holes in them.

Don't worry. I'm putting together a valve adjust motor drop shopping list now. Besides I know a couple of guys sending pelican kids to college.

After spending at least $20K between a car from Wayne and parts from Pelican, I think I have a lifetime pass, as long as I behave myself.

You are here Lee, that in itself puts you closer to P car ownership again.

I spent so much here when I had my 911 that I don't feel guilty. I really appreciate this forum, though!

I suspect this forum pays back and then some. I buy all of my parts from Wayne, to the extent of not even shopping around based on price. I do so because of the quality time (quality?) spent in OT and the great advice I have received in technical. It's just another form of advertising for his company, pretty smart business model.

No worries Lee....just PP to me and I will use the funds to purchase some Porsche parts from Wayne....a win win win!!!

Hey I bought from PP back in '98. Anyone else purchase that far back or more? I think they were still in their infancy back then....

I think the only think I don't buy here is engine oil. Swepco, and everything else I buy here. Too much trouble to look elsewhere and the service is great.

Exactly Hugh, I placed an order for some BMW parts over the weekend not too long ago. Realized Sunday that I needed a 944 part, called early Monday morning, and they couldn't add it my first order, but did discount the shipping. The 944 part beat my BMW parts to my door.....

If you really feel guilty about not giving Wayne enough money, just buy some parts from Pelican and give them away as presents. FYI: my birthday is coming up later this year.

since there are several people that post on Pelican forums who don't even have Porsches, BMWs, etc., I don't think you should worry
