Possible...fastest Nurburgring lap is a Radical sr8 at something like 6:48; motpcycle is something like 7:17 Some jap bike...soozook IIRC

The track record at Willow is 1:19 on a motorcycle. With double the hp in the car, do you think he could shave 9 seconds off his time?
Maybe so. I can believe it is really fast. Fast is not a measurement, it is a relative term. How fast would it be? If I had a car that could break a track record I would want to make the run, or have a pro drive it.

He also said faster out of a (canyon) turn than a (street) bike, so a bike would either wheelie or high-side while the car can put the power down while turning more.

Cars always beat bikes, you don't need that crazy Lotus for it.

Nice engine he has built there. It must have its lifetime measured in hours instead of miles. I ran with some guys like that at the Porsche club. 40 hour engines ... and those were about 1.8hp/cc, this one is about 4hp/cc.

Cars mostly beat bikes. What a lot of people fail to appreciate is that the bike's tire contact-patch is about the size of a credit card!

A pretty remarkable build with some crazy performance.

back to bike V car this is one of my favorite clips

It takes a lot of $ for 4 wheels to out perform $20k of bike.

those license plate frames are a good way to GET pulled over. they started making replica ones and selling them on craigslist and ebay. 11-99 foundation doesnt even have those frames anymore. ...and yeah, frank is looking like a complete tool on his youtube channel. given his track record of the videos he uploads, im sure there is more to the story.

btw....im going tomorrow to check out an Exige S. ha.

Usually "a deer stepped out" in front of people. Here it has to be a mystery hit and run Porsche?

I don't think it is a good idea to drive a monster car like that on the road at speed. He should take that to the track. If he gets into any serious trouble on the road, I am sure nobody will believe him, even if it isn't his fault (see above)!

That Frank guy sounds like a real tool.
I enjoyed reading the F-chat thread where people started tearing into him.

The facts according to Ronin:

“I was getting onto the fwy at Woodman and noticed a Porsche in my rear view as I was going up the on ramp, 5 sec. later while I was getting into the number two lane on my way out to Mulholland I get slammed in the left rear and spun around, the next think I know I'm ass end in the K rail on the right side of the road…. It seems that the ****in Porsche rammed into me and then drove off….
I was lucky that there was no other traffic nearby and I had a good samaritan stop her car behind me to block traffic from running into me while I was ass end into the K rail …She may have just saved my life…She called 911 and stayed till the Paramedics got to me…..
It's funny how some people just suck and some are a joy…

No speeding no cold tires just a dickhead in a Porsche that didn't know how to drive on a four lane open road with zero traffic... it was a hit and run..”

An analysis by an Fchatter:

“ … it sounds like some spirited driving ensued and the Lotus guy cut off the other driver as he came up behind? The P guy probably didn't back off as he thought that Lotus would back down on his lane change/block. The fact that he knows who the guy is suggests that some egos got involved just prior to contact. Both these guys need to grow up.”

The thread has some posts putting into issue Ronin’s behavior on public roads as demonstrated in his videos. There are also some insinuations on his choice of tires for the street.

Ronin has an i.d. on the other fellow involved in the incident. I'd rather not say but he mentions a first name and a last name initial in that thread.

Thanks. I get the feeling this was a late model Porsche like a 997 Turbo.

Don't you guys think he just wrecked his car alone and makes up a second car not to look like an idiot?

G

Edit: I went to the Lotus board - he has pictures posted that clearly show tire rub marks on his car. He names the opponent. That Lotus board is terrible! I am really glad we have a civilized board over here! I never understood the need to curse in writing?
