So who's going to win he Stanley Cup now that the "best team on ice" has been knocked out round one?

Troy
Yes the Canucks were the best team on ice in the Regular season, back to back, yes we won the Pres. Trophy 2 years in a row, so whats the question? Touque and "eh" are Canadian terms, someone from the Pac NW should'nt really be useing those terms IMO. SmileWavy Do you even know why we say "eh"?

Vive la difference....eh! You all south of our border are welcome to share our language. If there are any language difficulties, I am more than willing to interpret. Touque, eh or whatever. As regards hockey violence, I do not understand.

:D

Finn, you didn't say regular season - you said 'best team on ice'. Typically the 'best team on ice' is the one that wins the Stanley Cup. I guess it does in my world at least. There was no question, other than a statement that winning the Presidents Trophy doesn't mean anything other than getting you home ice advantage. It probably worked to your disadvantage as you lost 3 games at home to the Kings.

Now as Touque and eh being Canadian terms - really? Wow - I didn't know that... And the fact that someone from Pac NW shouldn't be using them?

Let me ask you a question. Do you think it's possible that someone living in the Pac NW 'might' originally be from a different part of the world? Perhaps even Canada? Crazy notion eh!

So back to hockey talk, who's the favourite now? (Finn, don't get upset at the Canadian/British spelling :) )

Here is some free advice for Danny: Don't drive Duncan Keith's head into the boards with your elbow/shoulder. Because when you do that you start a battle you can't win. Stick to playing pretty. Leave the goon work to someone else.

I know what a "hoser" is. Buuut that's about it.

I have heard that it is related to the spelling of Canada. C-eh-N-eh-D-eh.

actually it was Hank Sedin that drove Keith's head into the boards not Danny, I can't tell them apart either, it should have been a penalty on the play maybe even a 1 game suspension, it was a hockey play cause as you say the Sedins play pretty, Keiths elbow was a deliberate cheap shot.

I have to agree that the best team on ice is the winner of the cup but when the tread was started the playoffs had not, so at that time the Canucks were the best team on ice.
Not a crazy notion at all, people from all over live all over, my wifes from S. America, who knows you maybe your a fellow Canuck working in the Pac NW, I work in Guyana so it wouldn't be a stretch, and if you follow my spelling then there would be no way I'd be upset that your spelling is off a touch too.SmileWavy
Who's my favorite now, that should be obvious as I'm a Canadian it has to be the Sens all the way.:)

SmileWavy

and yep I wouldn't be too upset if the Sens went deep in the playoffs. For a team that was supposedly 'rebuilding', they've done great. I still don't think they have what it takes though, but as you well know anything can happen...

So based on your logic, the Canucks are now the best team on the putting green??? After all, they are still back to back Pres Trophy winners.

s_morrison57 04-24-2012 04:26 AM

Yes they are.

Some people are down on Lou cause of the money he makes, most of those same people would love him more if he made 1/2 as much.
1 down - 3 to go
The Kings thought this was going to be easy, they're done like dinnerFinn

Lol, You shave off your playoff beard yet?

s_morrison57 04-24-2012 12:43 PM

No but I never grew one to start with, I have enough facial hair already.

Hey guys, don't hate yourselves cause you love the Canucks.
The logo on the pic above does make sense if your knowledgeable about the Canucks, they are owned by Orca Bay Entertainment, Orca is the Hiada Indian name for a killer whale and that is a depictipn of there drawing of a killer whale, "C" for the Canucks and the whale for Orca bay. There ya go.

Fixed it for you.

Por_sha911 04-25-2012 06:57 PM

Alas, the Bruins fall to the Caps. What's worse is we won't have the summer olympics diving team like the Canucks nore are we even the best team on the putting green since the Canucks have that title as well.
