I don't go to the movies anyway, but if I did, I'd boycott all remakes. Why can't they leave old movies and tv shows be?

The Red Dawn remake has been on the shelf for some time now. Originally, the enemy in the film was China. The filmmakers pussed out and changed the enemy in the film to North Korea with a lot of CG.

Red Dawn is the kind of film that could have only been made in the 1980's. A remake is just.. pointless.

This is classic.....

My dad used to yell this at me and my brothers from time to time as a joke...

I hear that "Behind The Green Door" will be remade about some environmental chick who sucks all the energy out of men.

I'm convinced - Hollywood is out of ideas. Lots of lame move remakes, everything on TV is so-called reality programs. It is football season yet?

I have a copy of that movie. A buddy gave it to me (along with all his other porn tapes) before he died so his daughters wouldn't find it after he was gone.

Some movies should never be remade.

Doesn't look like it's a remake. It's a sequel.

Hugh... Don't know why they'd do Haunted Mansion.
However... an updated 20,000 leagues...could be OK.

Got to admit, I like a remake when it's well done...although there are some movies that should never be touched. Like Gone With the Wind...Jaws...and a Christmas Story... Wizard of OZ...
Although I didn't much care for Jack Black, The King Kong from a few years ago was good.

Heinlein is so hard to do. Most of his short books are too long. Most of his longer books are way too sexual.

Hmmm. Maybe they could do "I will fear no evil", or something close. I think they could do "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress". And a lot of the Juveniles could be done. Definitely some of the short stories could be done as movies.
