I just received an invite for a baby shower which has a picture of the sonogram on the card.

Creepy. Overall, not just the sonogram:
Don't count your chickens until they are hatched. IMHO baby showers before due date are bad luck. Maybe it is cultural - this was not done where I grew up. So there was no baby shower at my house until the kid is present and well. This also avoids the poor husband having to paint rooms and decorate 3 months before the arrival ... G |

Well, it is a joint invite. I'm not going because it's about 1500 miles away. I think they are just trying to increase the gift count...

I got suckered into going to my sisters baby shower. She kept saying it was a co-ed shower, blah blah blah...she is lucky she is my sister otherwise I would have walked out. Never again, for anyone at anytime, anywhere.

I wasn't questioning the creepiness of being invited. It was sending us a picture of the sonogram.
I'm not grossed out by stuff like this. I just think it is a little weird to send out these kind of pictures. My sister gave us updated like this all the time on her baby. And she still does with her son, now 5. I expect in 20 years or so, I will be getting pictures of sonograms in Super HD 3D plus, with sounds, smells and tactile response...

Personally I don't like dudes at baby showers. No offense taken. But I guess I shouldn't say anything. I am sure there are men who don't like women at their car stuff.
