WOW this sounds like he is serious about this. I work in a lab and I come across patients like this several times a week. they are tired of doctors and having the blood drawn for what ever medical problems they have. the patients actually express there feelings everytime i see them. DonRo if you are a devoted catholic you know the consequences if you take your own life. i rather bare whats goin on in life then to be dam forever in hell..........good luck to you in your life decisions............

The cleanup after a gunshot is pricey. Do it out in the field with bag pipes.

The question is, can one put up with the burning oil fumes long enough to let the carbon monoxide do the trick? Don't think I'll do the testing. Cheers Richard Last edited by tevake; 01-30-2013 at 09:07 AM..

I stick with my carbon monoxide approach, but definitely go with a car that can deliver the goods.

I've given this consideration. I absolutely do not want to be a financial, physical and emotional burden to my wife, should I reach the point of suffering a painful, terminal illness or get to the point where I had be to taken care of - or prospect of that because of the onset of something like Alzheimers. I'm actually going to approach my Dr. (off the record) next time I see him about some advice. I'd never consider something like that unless under the circumsdtances I've already described. The crap about going to hell is just another way for religions to exert control over their devotees. Not trying to be parfy.

I had a buddy quit his job, maxed out all his credit cards, and just partied until his ticker stopped. Honest to goodness hookers and blow. It took him a few months, but they eventually found him face down on his garage floor. Acute cocaine poisoning. I later found out that he confided in another friend that this was his grand plan.

"The crap about going to hell is just another way for religions to exert control over their devotees." . ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I'm there! . I'm 67 now & I've experienced a ton of nasty pain (off/on) over just the past 4 yrs. ...to the point where I can see the possibility of it returning and/or even more severe. Not just direct pain but loss of dignity and much of what's been mentioned by y'all, etc. I say, I'll take my chances with the Universe. Check my sig. . I think the answer sits somewhere in the medical arena - knowing the right people & knowing to be discreet.

This is easy. Shoot myself out in the woods somewhere and leave a note telling exactly where I'd be. No clean-up for family or some other poor bastard just doing his job, and make it so I'd be collected quickly before getting ripe or some hikers have their day ruined. I think it would be easier to just flip a switch with the trigger than to swing on a rope or drown. Lights out. No way I'm suffering terminally when old.
