Snow usually weighs 15 lbs per cubic foot. If this storm produces over 30 inches of snow, I predict a lot of flat roof failures at shopping malls and grocery stores.

All of the idiots are already lined up for miles at the gas stations and most stations around here already have out of gas signs up. I am willing to bet most of the people waiting for gas have almost a full tank already. The only reason stations are running out is because of all of the panic the media is causing. There is not a gas shortage but by tonight there will be.

Currently 16F. With a wind chill of -2F. It has snowed all day with only ~6" of accumulation but it has been drifting. It should pass in the next hour & I wll attack my drive. I LOVE my snow blower.

Here is my snow gnome snowfall indicator. He is the small peak in the center.

Heh' really no big deal around here. I've never seen a run on gas or groceries when we get a few feet of snow.

Just got in from using the Kubota to snow blow the driveway, love having a cab with heat on the tractor! Just took this photo at 5:15 and we now have about 8" on the ground.

A friend just got 500 dollars driving in the snow ticket.

Go figure.

It's gonna be a long weekend.

And an expensive one if parts keep coming on the for sale section.

He should be thankful that he doesn't live in the Empire State, they tack on a $100/yr fee for 3 years for each moving violation, $250 for DWI, the first ~$41mill of the monies so collected go into the general fund to be squandered by our Pols(or is the elected fools)

Just finished quarter-round moldings on my new hardwood floors, neighbors are out pulling each other with a Polaris 700 on snowboards, and I'm headed to the basement with Patron on the rocks, cigar, and my I-Pad.

Great Friday night.

Should have stayed in Portland if you want to experience the storm.......Rangley won't be getting much.

Our lives have become so soft we have to make up crap to be afraid of. That is why when people get a head ache they MUST take extra strength tylenol...pathetic. I hate the news and the weather...It distracts from really important things like why is my 911 leaking oil?

Funny thing though, my mother is one of those people. She runs to the store to get various necessities, and ironically, she always buys milk...which she cannot drink anyway. In her 70 years, the longest she ever was unable to get to a store is 2 days. A bunch of cans of progresso soup will cover ya.

My audi quattro is amazing in the snow...I can take on anything with this thing. My mustang, that is another story, if Philadelphia gets snow my car starts sliding all over the place. Now if I had a unimog, now you are talking!

In North Eastern NJ it has been snowing since about 6 am. At the moment, good snow ball fight snow. Makes for heavy shoveling though. At present we have about 6.5 inches...so they rest of the world can understand it is slightly larger than the average penis or about 16.5 cm. BTW, according to wikipedia the average length is 12.9–15.0 cm (5.1–5.9 in).
