Damn shame you don't have access to an F-18. Turn that sumbiatch around in front of his property and go full afterburner.

Simple, just put up a few of these signs facing his yard. It's a warning sign, not a threat. Saw them at a few small airports in the past.

The HOA president stopped by to give me another two pages from Bob that arrived today. Two pages of Mr. Cash is a liar, hates me, just out to get me, etc.

He added a new twist. We live in an airpark (ie: runway community). Some houses have property that borders the runway. Last summer I did some maintenance on the brakes of a Travel Air for a neighbor. The neighbor then took me to lunch at the downtown airport. When we arrived back, we landed, turned the plane around, and taxied to the hangar. All of this seems normal to me, but Bob claims we turned around at his property deliberately so that we could use the wind from the propellers to "try and blow over" his utility shed. I was a passenger in the plane, but somehow this was all done at my insistence because I "have it in for him".

So... ? Now turning around at his property is part of some evil plan to use our propwash against him??? Christf***, I'm an evil bastard!! Wait until I get my weather machine perfected and put clouds in the sky on days he wants to fly his RV7!!
Not trying to be too dramatic here, but do you have somewhere that your wife could stay while you are gone? He seems to have a real hard on for you in particular, the fact that he is singling you out in his correspondence would really concern me. He's doing a great job of creating evidence, but evidence is only useful after a crime has been committed.......

Well, I feel I have done all I can at this moment. I have a lot to do to prepare for my trip tomorrow.

My wife has the Deputy's contact info, and a few friends who will be checking in on her.

I am not going to write any replies, or anything further today. We will see what the mess looks like when I return in a few weeks.

Good luck on your trip. When you get the weather machine working just set it to have his place hit by lightning......continuously.

I know a guy who works for the lightning research place in Florida. Could borrow some rockets and wire from them if you want to start before your weather machine gets up and running?

RV-7s have a rather piss-poor safety record.

Just sayin'.

There has already been a response to that and documentation by the OP.

My suggestion is continue documenting the behavior but avoid direct conflict and unnecessary agitation. The fire is good and hot, no need to dump gas on it.

I was just sharing a perspective.

I re-read your post and I see it now. Yeah, fire is getting toasty.

In my experience observing aberrant stalkers like this, I'm pretty confident that Cash's wife is safe while he's gone. Bad guy will escalate until he's stopped, but he's unlikely to escalate in a way that makes Cash's wife physically unsafe while he's gone. The secret to understanding stalkers is to realize what it is that they're getting out of the interaction. They are getting off on the thrill of scaring people and spitting in their eyes. He'll keep doing that, to the point that he will someday harm Cash's dog, and could even harm him someday,. But there's a whole road of escalation before we get there. He might scare her, to get off on the emotional response, but he isn't going to kill the goose that lays the golden egg by hurting her and putting an end to his fun prematurely.

A couple weeks after the process server visited him, these new signs went up.

In addition, he put these up all around the perimeter of his property.

Nope... nothing wrong with this guy.

Is there anything in your covenants restricting signage on property? I know there is in mine. Sure would be a shame if he had to take those down.

No... we have very few restrictions here.
Even if we did, the community has no funds to pursue litigation.

Those road signs look very "official." Maybe he liberated them from somewhere and they need to be reported as being stolen.

I'd defer to MRMs #190 analysis.

Yup... I'd let the county and/or state (or a trusted local LEO) know about those top two... especially if they are heavy guage metal and are very reflective.

But be very specific about telling them that if they determine they are government property and they send somebody out to fine/ticket/arrest the guy, they are not to tell the guy that you are the one who alerted them.

Not that he might not assume it, but they should try to make it look like they just happened across the signs.

The OP would love to steer clear, the "eccentric" neighbor is the one poking the hornets nest.
