that's the beauty of home manufacturing, you can print as many as you like, and modify them, and pick lots of cool colors for the kids

did you look through the website? the guy fired 600 rounds through a printed AR-15 receiver without any issues. The technology isn't going away.
making a receiver isn't that interesting. thats not a very hard or demanding part to make. the hard parts to make in a gun are still easier to make/modify, and higher quality, from your local hardware store.

Well, the hard parts aren't the parts controlled by serial numbers, so they can be purchased and attached, as in the case of the AR receiver

It doesnt matter how crappy the printed guns are. It will still be the weapon of choice for anyone needing a one shot shooter, that doesnt know a machinist, or how to use a screwdriver, to easily sneak into a place that is overtly looking for concealed guns.

I just had a great idea to go with this gun- Carbon fiber casings and glass shot bullets. You heard it here first folks.

1) Print guns
2) Take guns to buy-back program
3) Profit!

Is it in fact true that the material used in the printed gun is not visible in an airport x-ray? Seems it must be reasonably high density plastic.

the plastic isn't. however the company that's making them to sell is inserting a metal slab into their guns so it is metal detectable.

even though the main body is plastic, the hammer spring, the firing pin and the ammo consisting of the lead bullet, copper jacket, gunpowder, and primer cup are all still metal.

The company is not selling them. This is a political exercise to demonstrate the absurdity of gun control legislation.

Pffft. Gyro jet. A plastic rocket launcher is even easier to make than a plastic firing chamber. As for the projectile, it can be a flechette and penetrate through shape rather than sheer kinetic energy.
