Do you leave your p-car unattended?

Are you cautious of where you park when your out? I'm always afraid of what surprises I may find upon return. I haven't had an issue to date, but sometimes it's hard to enjoy a night out when your p-car is parked on some street corner. May-be just me.

I leave it pretty much anywhere, without thinking about it. Hell, I usually leave it unlocked if I'm only gone a few minutes, just with nothing valuable in sight. But then, maybe we venture to different corners of the city

That is why I have insurance. Never been keyed, broken into, stolen or broken into by any critters - bears etc. Having an older Box 2001 I don't worry too much. I am touching wood as I type this though. Park it inside the garage all the time. No valuables left in the car either. It is a black color and not steal me red ...
Plus it is manual - could be a stumbling block.Cars left in the street in our area at night are at greater risk of being broken into. Why don't folks use their garage - because it is full of junk!

If I had a GT3 or late 911 I would be more nervous...

i dont worry about the 911 or the coupe. I've driven the coupe through all the lower 48 and Canada without much of a thought. I don't let the Speedster out of my sight for too long.

Not so worried about if it gets stolen and never returned, but it would break my heart to see it keyed or damaged!

No.... But one time I was in a restaurant and a guy comes up..., is that your Porsche out front... Yes.., why? Dude has backed broad side into my baby!

Oh well, it was fixed. Life's too short to fuss over where your car is parked.

the only time I have ever worried is when I leave it in a parking lot (hotel/motel) over night- like every Porsche parade (cant afford to stay in the pca hotel)
other than that not to much- im more worked about my seats getting stolen than anything else with the car

Stores & places like that are what domestic cars are for

Course, I use the 944s as trucks too

Mid 90's I had some major major mods body, suspension, and engine. Picked the car up for the 1,000 mile drive home dog days of summer Arizona to Texas. Because we picked it up late we knew we could only get halfway home the first night. No lockable doors or alarm system I just parked it below our hotel room and got up every couple of hrs to make sure it was still there. As if a anyone had known I'd spent quadrillion dollars

I have owned mine for 12 yrs and have driven it a lot in US and Canada. I never worry to much about it.

Had one incident in Taos NM where an older woman backed into my front bumper while trying to park her SUV. She was set to leave but I happened to be walking by and saw her do it. I got a bumper repaint out of it.

One advantage of having a car that is not pristine(especially paint) is less worry.

Never a worry or issue with any of mine. Let's face facts, most of us don't have cars that are worth more than $30k anyway. To non car guys they are just old cars, as my younger sister in laws remind me.

i was never worried about the porsches. the Ferrari, I worry about. mostly because the metal is so unbelievably thin on the body panels. ...and parts prices on the Ferrari make Porsche prices seem like chevy prices.

I love, love, love having a car I don't care one iota about. I bought an E30 BMW for $400 several years ago as my airport car. driving to the airport one day, a girl lost control and hit me. her insurance company totaled the car, gave me $2500, and then let me keep it! I found a pair of headlights and a grill on craigslist. slopped it back together and painted it flat black. I ended up driving it to California.....had it here for a while. I put over 30K miles on that car...and then sold it for......$500. I never locked that car, never cared one bit about it. still miss it.

I leave it anywhere.

Once I was coming back to it and saw a taxi driver (I believe ) intentionally reversing hard into it. I think he will leave 911s alone from now on.

But no problems other than this white trash guy.

My Corolla however is a victim of car thefts, vandalism, the list goes on.

Back in the early to mid 70s I parked the 69 911S on an abandoned lot near East L. A. When I came back from my evening classes radio and seats were gone! The dash had been butchered and I think a window broken. Porsches were being stolen left and right in L.A. in those days. So in full paranoia, I replaced it with a Lambo Miura. Though, I never left the Miura in a dark spot in the bario, I felt that no one would be wanting or foolish enough to mess with the ultra rare Italian "junk." Two years, 30,000 miles and $34.00 in parts later and no vandalism or thefts, I sold the Miura for $9k and a 70 Camaro RS, about what I had invested in her. Cognisent of potential problems with an unattended car and being somewhat prudent about parking places, I am not much more worried about the P cars than my old Diesel dually.
