I'm doing some reorganizing inside and was going to get some shelves at HD.
Did a quick check on CL and found a deal on some shelves in Port Orange - right at the Nova/US1 intersection so short drive.

$25 for all three pictured.

Picked up some other stuff the guy had. That little chair is the bomb...so comfy it's insane. For working on truck and bikes, etc.

Ammo cans, various tools, brand new hacksaw (Craftsman), brand new measuring tape, nice rock hammer, NOS jack stands....all that for another $45.

Get this...the seller had just reduced the shelves from $35 to $25 an hour before I called.

How do you like the little crescent wrench? He threw that in....

Super good guy - was a combat engineer in 'Nam!

Really cool find in the bottom of a box of junk at an estate sale. These stock car race tickets and ring were in a small envelope. Written on the back of the ticket stub is "1st Date with Eddie". July 15, 1953. Estate of a woman in her 90s.

** Also found a Frank Zappa song book from 1973 at her house

The handle material told me that it was an Estwing.

I bought an Estwing carpenter hammer for around the house in early 1982 for $7.97 at FEDCO in Pasadena. My Dad never stopped beothching at me for being so extravagant. I still have that hammer in my tool chest.

Been browsing the camera ads for a few months on CL for Canon stuff. See all the usual, really high priced "L" lens, etc.
Get on one evening and see a "used once" Canon 24mm F1.4 L version 2 for $400.

I'm thinking, yeah, right but call anyway. Sure enough, it's real and the guy just doesn't use it. I met him and bought it 45 minutes later. Now, I didn't need the lens but it was such a great price I flipped it on the bay for 2.5x and bought a different lens.

Just picked up a second-hand Whirlpool dishwasher in working condition and in good shape as well.

Was given to me by a client who is getting all new appliances.

I will replace mine with it, as mine's been broken since the early 2000's. I do my dishes by hand and don't mind. But would be nice to have options again.

I prefer washing my dishes...gets my hands clean and my fingernails soft for a clipping.
Baz, nice get.
I have a new Stainless Kitchen Aide d/w that's so quiet I can't hear it.
Never use it. I use it as a drying rack when I wash dishes.

I enjoy washing by hand too, Don. Will continue to do so.

My girlfriend asked me to keep an eye out for a good deal on a used treadmill. A few days later this was sitting on the curb near a friend's house. All sorts of good things show up when it's time for bulk trash pick up here!

It's not high end but it works perfectly and can't beat the price!

Not the score of the century but these will greatly help me on the build of my man cave . Bought three of these today for $75.00 each they have metal frames with 1 " thick particle board tops . They measure 32 " deep x 73 " wide x 32 1/2 " tall . Bolted end to end a little over 18 ' of work bench . I'm liking it !

From a statistical standpoint you might think that, but she's extremely active. She just doesn't like to hike/walk outside when it's 110 degrees here in AZ.

I bought this Howard Miller Milan clock off of LetGo.com These clocks are worth anywhere from $500 - $2,000. This one has some condition problems. The movement is fine, but the case is in bad shape.

Someone made "repairs" with drywall screws and a glue gun! It has the weights and is complete and sounds amazing (Westminster chimes).

I gave $125 for it.

Not much of a score - but hey they all add up! This plastic 5 shelf unit was free - someone was clearing out their shop and left it at the curb last night. Lot of miles on this shelf....I'm honored to keep the journey going....lol....
