Here is my latest Mercedes score off of Craig's list. 84' 300D with only 50k miles on it and ZERO rust. Never driven in the winter. Did need a paint job and a little TLC. Here is some before and after paint photos. Plan on selling it soon.

Marble Bust

Not Craigs list but I bought this at a local arts center that is moving to a new building. It's a wonderful sculpture in marble. Probably weighs 60 pounds. No idea who the artist is or if it's worth anything but I really like the piece. I searched on "J Nichols" but didn't find anything.

Picked up these three solid core maple veneer doors. 33" x 80" with sliding door hardware and 2 pieces of aluminum track.

They were on a endo room's equipment closet. We're converting the room and installing a different piece of equipment and the closet isn't
needed. The doors were headed for the dumpster. Not perfect but they'll make a nice workbench top or something else. Hated to see them thrown away. I'll also be getting a bunch of Unistruct from the ceiling.

Paul those will make a great work bench if you choose to do so . In our last house I wanted to build a basement work bench/gun cleaning bench and bought two base cabinets from HD . Then found a guy selling solid doors on CL just like what you have there , they came out of a police dept. interrogation room from what the seller said . I bought one and was able to rip length wise to eliminate the handle holes and end up with enough material to make a mini back splash . It looked fantastic and was as solid as a rock . Nice score there buddy !

I know houses in OK are cheap, but even a trailer house is going to set you back more than $500.

Unusual find today. Haven't found much info on initial research. Unit appears to be brand new/never used. Made in Chicago. No zip code on machine or manuals so pre-1963 for sure. Not totally sure what it does. Is it an early copy machine or does it copy photographic prints Speed-O-Print made lots of mimeograph machines but I don't think this is one. For $10 I had to buy it.

Just saw this. You can make some door desks ala Amazon with those! Jeff Bezos made some desks out of doors back in the garage days, and the tradition stuck. There are desks made out of doors all over the headquarters in Seattle!

My father was an engineer and had his own practice with about 4 draftsmen and made the drawing boards for his staff out of doors. "Draftsmen" is a occupation that died.

My turn.

Went to my local weekend mart today. I go every so often to get an old fashioned straight razor shave with hot towel, face massage, hot foam, etc. Got there early today so had to wait for barber to open. I needed a center punch so I can drill out a broken stud so walked the flea market see if anyone had one. Found one for $3.00.

While looking I came across this great old meat/barbeque fork for $1.00. This will clean up nicely.

After my two quick scores I went to the barber. I was the first there. Just the owner and me. While waiting for the girl to show up that does my shave. I struck a conversation with the owner about the make shift kiddie barber chair in the corner. In the few years I have been going I have never seen it used. It just sits there as a catch all. I asked if he was interested in selling it? He said make an offer. So I offered $100.00.

I got my shave and left with a 1950's Barchetta-ish dual exhaust peddal car.

It was mounted to a piece of plywood, mounted to a hydraulic chair base. I unscrewed the base and threw it in the dumpster. I'll remove the car from the base when I unloaded itfrom the transporter.

The car has a metal body, chrome grill, wheels, exhaust, windshield and steering wheel and rolls on solid rubber tires.

On the Make an Offer Table at the UPS store.

Did not know what it was but got it for $1 (worth about $25).

Turn out its for manually locking the differential on OX system

Drive away lock, can be used to manually engage or disengage the OX Locker if cable or shift system become trail damaged and or inoperative, works on all cover shift OX lockers

A must for the glovebox, This little gem will get you out of a bind. Should your shifting system fail or become trail damaged, simply screw This little guy into your OX differential cover for a manual lock. Remove spring and your unlocked.
Simple As That.l
