PM if you need help.

I really do know a few guys and gals that can judge your idea fairly.

Aero folks, material science folks, etc.

We'll sign the right stuff if needed, NDA's, non-competes, etc.

Be advised, they are harsh: They call it the "wheel of aero misfortune" when it comes to new lift and drag ideas: There is no upsidasium.

im not a helicopter engineer, but I am an ME and spent several years flying RC helicopters which have similar tail mechanics. I also deal with IP frequently and one thing I have learned is there is a pretty good chance some one has already thought of it for simple mechanical things.

I have to admit no expertise in this particular area...

Is a V-22 not able to yaw in-place, then? Or do they have puffer ducts like a Harrier? Tail-rotors are a drag for efficient cruise but nice for maneuvering. Would be even better if you had twin, counter-rotating rotors to cancel the torque so you could yaw just as well in either direction.

Osprey should be able to yaw with differential torque in the two engines. I'm not sure if they do that though

Good point. But that would couple the yaw and roll like wing dihedral. Maybe by varying the pitch of the props so that they have equal lifting power but one putting out more torque? But that doesn't sound like something a turbine engine would do- more like a piston engine.
