This one doesn't get mentioned much, so I thought I would recommend it again. An interesting story, an amazing cast, a 'life is hard' story. Hilary doesn't do very many movies, but the ones she does are amazing.

Steve, I enjoyed the Homesman. The house burning/killings were totally unexpected but the ending was depressing.

I re-watched Django Unchained last night. 10 years later... The shootouts will always be ridiculous but overall it's still a great movie.

(87% on Rotten Tomatoes)

Some extremely sad moments in that movie.

'The Night Clerk' with Tye Sheridan and Helen Hunt on Netflix
An autistic (highly intelligent) boy who works as a night clerk at a hotel. Really good movie.
It's a murder mystery movie.

One reporter to the other, referring to the hangman: "Does he have a name?"
The reply: "Yeah...we the people."

Classic.

Blake's performance was fantastic.

Scott Wilson - the murder suspect in "In the Heat of the Night" the year before and also in 1985's "The Aviator" - with Christopher Reeve, directed by George "Mad Max" Miller, and much later as Hershel, the veterinarian on "The Walking Dead".

This is the real life Clutter family who were murdered.....

Stayed up and watched "The Boston Strangler" (again) last night. I'd seen it before but so long ago I forgot what a great cast were in the movie.

Also pretty cool to have the split screens at certain parts. Very creative.

My GF and I watched this tonight. She suggested it and I'm really glad she did. If you like period movies then should should enjoy this one. It would have been a difficult movie to make. What makes it especially interesting is the sets. Most of the movie was shot inside a theatre with varying backgrounds so it's like watching a live play.

"Anna Karenina" based on the novel of the same name by the Russian author Leo Tolstoy.

This one from 2018 slipped under the radar...

Guys and Gals - seriously. If you can find it, it's worth watching.
