The fight scenes were well choreographed and the plot and story line were clever. The way they handled the time line was compelling. I don't think I've seen that done at this level before. There were also some stupid scenes like when she beat up the photographer. That was just awful. (or were they trying to be funny?) My one big complaint. According to the movie this lady only had about 3 years training and yet she did things that would take a decade to master. So like most movies about this subject you have to suspend disbelief. It was certainly a better movie than Red Sparrow but not as good as Atomic Blond. |

I watched Green Book last night. Really liked it. |
I watched The Conspirator on Prime yesterday. Really thought provoking film by Robert Redford.

Prime is carrying this and The Descent II
Both are ok horror movies. Lots of action. The gals are great looking. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/CSYg7Z1KS_I" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> |

I think Lucy is extremely underrated. Scarlett is the pick of the bunch IMO. I've been a fan since "Lost in Translation". |

Also, Under the Skin with her is not for all but I rate it highly. |
For young female ninjas there is "Kick Ass" and "Hanna".
If you like "Lost in Translation", also might want want to see "Fear and Loathing". (French language I think.) A little more deep into Japanese-Corporate-Cultural incongruities, male/female/female relationships whatever, and/or just being stuck in a foreign place. It's complex and worth watching a few times to pick up on nuances. |

It's been a long, long time since I've seen Hard Times with Charles Bronson (1975). Not disappointed!

Last night we found a movie titled "Yesterday" on Amazon. It was a chick flick but because it had a story line that revolved around the Beatles and their songs it was worth a watch. I will tell you the movie was in English but I could have used sub-titles during some of the scenes.

"Once". 2007
A budding relationship between very different strangers. Great music. SFW. Not entirely a chick flick. Full movie was here but is copyright blocked by Fox/Disney: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80nYnvSguwo Find other sources. |
