"Standing guard over the old castle, huh." ~ Mr. Robinson

LOL......what a movie!

Great film I watched the other night: 'Above and Beyond" (1952) about Paul Tibbets and the pressure he was under to get the B-29 mission ready to take the bomb to Japan.

I just saw this. I'd describe it as a Batman movie for grown ups.

Enjoyable and unpredictable... But it's a long one.

A million ways to die in the west. A western with absurd humor. Not sure why I watched this but it is pretty funny. Oh yea, Charlize Theron is in it. That must be why I watched it.:D

'The Weekend Away' on Netflix.
A good thriller movie.

"Runaway Jury" on Cable - just started. Cusack's best movie, IMHO.

How is Grosse Point Blank not Cusak’s best?

That's a good one too! Mine has Dustin Hoffman and Gene Hackman, which doesn't hurt! :p

I just saw this & it was worth the wait... Denzel and Frances are exceptional.
- Brilliant movie and you don't have to be a fan of Shakespeare to enjoy it. (Subtitles will help with this one)

Highly recommended.

I just watched Wolf of Wall Street for the first time.
It was strange and comical with all the drugs and sex.
To hard to believe if it was a true story but after watching the first five minutes I was hooked and had to watch it.
A Martin Scorcese film.

stevej37 03-08-2022 06:07 PM

^^^ The mansion party scene with Margot, Jonah, and Leo was the best...great movie!

'A Mother's Revenge' on Prime. A mistake at an airport leads to real trouble.

I don't know how exactly, but you COMPLETELY misspelled Better Off Dead.

I once saw John, in a baby blue 1970's era land yacht sedan pull up to a stop sign in downtown Chicago. He had some random blonde bimbo in the car with him. He screeched up to the stop sign, saw us standing there, flipped a big ass smile, grabbed her and stuck his tongue down her cleavage, she started screaming bloody murder, he cackled and spun his tires driving away. No real meaning behind that story, except that he did, from 3 blocks away, yell on the wind...

"Better Off Dead is my best filmmmmmm........."

Pazuzu 03-09-2022 08:32 PM

I just watched Serenity. I once watched it way back when it came out, but then, I had never seen Firefly.
Since, of course, I've watched and rewatched and memorized Firefly, but never went back to the movie.
It was an appropriate finale for the characters, and of course, made much more sense this time.
