I watched the original Cape Fear (1962) after watching the 1991 version and was a little meh. Pros and cons to each. Maybe I like the remake better because I saw it first. It seemed a lot more terrifying.

Pitch Black basically put Vin Diesel on the map. It was a good sci-fi movie in in 2000, and spawned the two Riddick sequels. It's streaming for free now on Freevee (on Amazon with commercials).

The Informer (2019) is pretty good. Ex-soldier gets some bad breaks and it gets worse. I've been a Joel Kinnaman fan since I saw him in The Killing. Good cast- Ana De Armas (nothing special), Rosamund Pike, Clive Owen, and Common were all good. Not for the squeamish. Skip the trailer, it gives away everything. On Amazon and Netflix for free.

I watched "Long Shot" last night with Seth Rosen and Charlize Theron. Just another ROM-COM but I laughed enough to give it a thumbs up.

Here's one for you Baz but I'd recommend it for anyone who loves movies.

Saw a trailer for this in the theatre tonight... looks promising and it's loaded with Corsairs. :)

Hitman. Timothy Olyphant is a total badass hitman. Saw this a couple years ago and there was nothing good on tonight so I gave it a second look.

"American Gangster" - 2007 - directed by Ridley Scott - just finishing up. Such a great movie. No matter how many times I've seen it - never gets old.

Watched Source Code last night. I'd give it a 7.5. Good cast, kind of a cross between Tomorrow War and Minority Report, with a dash of The Mangerie from the Original Star Trek.

I saw Source Code a couple years ago and really liked it. Also liked Minority Report. Just the right amount of sci fi in both for me.

Just barely better than awful. Or not.
