I checked the cast on Jexi....Adam Devine played Phil
Alexandra Shipp was Cate

I know nothing about either, but they fit into their roles perfectly.

A reminder in case you haven't watched this on Netflix.

Hilarious - best thing about the movie was Rose Byrne who does the voice of Jexi.

Just watched Jexi, super stupid and super funny! I like that actor, forget his name.

I must have a different idea of a good movie.

Watched "Bad Words" tonight, good flick, written well, directed well. Believe it or not, it's about a spelling bee. If that is the subject matter and it is a good film, then double bravo!

Netflix
"Guy Trilby (Jason Bateman), a 40-year-old misanthrope, makes waves at a regional spelling bee when, due to a loophole in the rules, he is allowed to enter -- and later wins. Hurling insults at every turn, Guy advances to the national contest in Los Angeles, accompanied by a reporter (Kathryn Hahn) who wants to discover his hidden motives for entering the bee. As the competition gears up, friendless Guy inexplicably forms a bond with a young speller who is feeling parental pressure to win."

Thanks Baz... One of Frank Sinatra's best movies!

If you like sci-fi horror, check out Sputnik (2020). It's Russian with subtitles. Different and very good, not a highly polished Hollywood product, but effective and brutal. Don't watch a preview or read a review- be surprised.

Watched "Deathtrap" last night for the first time in years. Michael Caine, Christopher Reeve and Dyan Cannon are all great. Lots of twists and turns, worth a rewatch or for the first time...
