My Blu-ray player crapped out last week. Bought a 4K replacement player for about a buck and a half. It lets me split the hdmi feed so picture goes to the tv and sound to the receiver - which saved me 2k on a receiver upgrade.
Dune in 4K is gorgeous. The second Dr Strange is a bizarre film - and kinda woke - but visually stunning too. |
On the Netflix.

I saw it a few weeks back. I liked it.
I like how JL comes across as a normal young gal....she's funny. <iframe width="500" height="560" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/HbYydTW0rXQ" title="Jennifer Lawrence says, "Brad Pitt smelled like sandalwood" #shorts" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
Joe Kidd, a bad Clint Eastwood movie. I did not think that was possible.

From 1962 and directed by David Lean....."Lawrence of Arabia" on TCM right now. As far as I'm concerned.......the greatest movie ever made.
Many outstanding performances, including Anthony Quinn as the Desert Falcon, Auda Abu Tayi...... As always.......commercial free! |
When I saw this the first time, I wasn't paying attention. This is an excellent movie in terms of cast, director, director of photography, writer, and music. It's always been highly regarded- I just figured out why.

A movie/TV goof that drives me nuts. The car is 'moving' in this scene, but clearly, the shift lever is in PARK.

They spend so much money on a rig like this to better replicate a moving vehicle, and kinda blow it by ignoring the details...
