Just saw The Walk. Based on the true story of Philippe Petit.
Brilliant movie and a fitting tribute to the World Trade Center. RIP to the victims. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Walk_(2015_film)

The original documentary required some stamina to get get through.
"Blah. I am crazy artist and french and strongly opinionated about everything, but nothing of any significance. I'm not sure but I definitely feel strongly. I walk on high wire. Watch me walk. Again and again. Blah." Is there anything new these days? Are current topics even allowed?

Also just saw Bridge of Spies. Great story told without being weighted down with the usual action special effects. Tom Hanks was really good.

Well before American Psycho and Nightcrawler, there was Investigation of a Citizen Above Suspicion.
1970 Italian. Constant high strung tension. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_OyP2fQRSzI

I'm watching "12 hours to kill" with Barbara Eden. Jeez, she was just smokin' hot.
Besides that, the movie is pretty good. The FXM channel has some good movies.

The Bowery Boys.
Watching "Bowery Bombshell" on AMC now. I've never took much interest in them but they are really funny. I always liked Abbott and Costello but this one is on par with any of their movies. A little slapstick combined with some really funny, sarcastic lines.

Saw Spectre last Sunday. Good movie however, less of everything. Less action, less fights, less adultery, less mind blowing views, and of course less gizmos. Pretty disappointed. Most disappointing was lack of personality from Christopher Waltz. He is such a great actor, he could have played a darker, more creepier role.
Other than that less of everything still makes a good Bond movie. |

"I'll Be Me". Maybe I'm just getting old and sentimental, but this brought me to tears a few times. Totally amazing story, and Glen's spirit shines though.

Watching the latest version from that young shut-in's imagination from small town Texas.
A bit closer than the sweeping epic to Howard's vision of a lone wanderer, IMO. By Mitra. ![]() No movie is perfect however. Cimmeria was cold. Too much Perlman. Conan didn't brood until king and was not a nice guy. Pacing was laborious at times.
