The original "Walking Tall" with Joe Don Baker.
This is one of those 'rarified' movies that everyone stood up and cheered at the end of the movie. :) |

Well, that was completely different. I liked it. :D |

Ok, my first attempt at “embedding” a link so if it doesn’t work............
I drive quite a bit on a daily basis so I listen to several audio books during the month. I recently dug out one of our older books that is narrated by Seven Fry (British Bloke who stared in the recent Sherlock Holmes series and the Hobbit) classically trained, he is a good actor and a fantastic narrator. Anyway, listening to the book made me want to watch the film. The film actually follows the book pretty good and Mr. Fry also does the narration in that as well. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...9f6b775cce.jpg If you want to watch something a bit different with a twist of British Humor, I recommend, “Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy” I sure could use an “ Improbability Drive” from time to time. Trailer: https://youtu.be/embed/MbGNcoB2Y4I Ok guys, I guess I’m not smart enough to be able to create an embedded link via my iPhone, even after following tutorials. Sorry, just check out the trailer on IMDB[emoji35] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Marco Polo tv series.
A little 'hollywood' but a interesting perspective on the Mongols and Chinese. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2189461/ |
Saw this a little bit ago and thought it was funny. It’s also a Frank Oz film.
Originally a British film made in 2007 https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...513af83272.jpg Then there is a US version with a contemporary spin on the same storyline remade in 2010. I still prefer the UK spin. A funny side note to each film is that Peter Dinklage is in both. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...12fb7981b3.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Sucker punch. Never would have looked for it if it was not posted here. Two hours of chaos. And fantasy. Like a train wreck. Once it starts you sort of have to watch. Not sure if that is good or bad.

An ok or slightly better horror movie on Prime...with a great ending.

How about a movie about a movie, sort of?
On Netflix, a film called Sad Hill Unearthered popped up when I searched for Eastwood. I won’t give anything away, but the movie is based in Spain and revolves around The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly. It’s interesting on many levels. |
"The Wall" ... I was hoping for something non Hollywood and original.
But sadly let down by the sub par plot and directing. It could have been a good movie if it was anything near realistic. For instance, I've never seen an "auto loading" bolt action rifle before. Even the worst B Grade action movies don't make mistakes like this. I'd give it a 2 out of 10. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/MyCuUr2_hmA" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
Burn Notice and Blacklist series. Like.
Popcorn t.v. cliche spy fluff. Worth binge-watching for those who like a little more action with their mystery. It's surface-level material only, but the characters (i.e. underappreciated actors) really pull it all through well. |
Burn Notice is seriously underrated. I've enjoyed every episode.

I haven't seen it for many years, but I liked Mosquito Coast with Harrison Ford a lot.

Glass. First hour was boring, then it gets good. You need to watch, Unbreakable and Split before you watch Glass.

Passengers
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...036379ca7e.jpg Very small cast, good story line with a bit of everything. Suspense, drama, comedy and yes, relationship dynamics. They do a good job making interstellar travel believable. Good Special Effects too. Make you ponder, “What if that had been me?!?[emoji848]” |
I cant wait for this. Looks a lot like Atomic Blond.

Just watched, White Out. 2009 movie with Kate Beckinsale. Murder in Antarctica. A little overblown action but not a bad way to kill some time. one thing I dislike is overloud background music and sound effects. Too much with this movie but it seems to be normal for a lot of movies.

My son said go into it with no expectations so I did not. Really enjoyed it. Critics beat it to death (37) but audience gave it a 73. That's usually very watchable. The Split guy is a powerful actor. I am going to watch Split again. Unbreakable is one of M Night's best. |
