Thanks! I enjoyed Bad Blood as well, though it was more of a simple gangster story.

Bad Blood is good, the first season is loosely based on a true story. I thought the second season was better.

Watching Paint Your Wagon now.

Gorgeous movie, love the scale, the scenery and lack of cgi.

Lee Marvin is phenomenal.

I love musicals!

Jean Seberg is so GORGEOUS and I love her personality in that movie!

Then there's Harve Presnell's magnificent performance....:)

I am normally not a musical fan, but I think my parents playing the soundtrack in my youth left an impression. Agreed on Presnell’s performance, it is magnificent.

Look forward to watching the Clint movie, Peter. He's always good in everything he's in.

============

Head's up for later today. On TCM, at 6:15PM (ET), the 1967 Lee Marvin classic "Point Blank".

As always - commercial free on TCM. :)

sc_rufctr 06-29-2019 09:02 AM

That's a true classic Baz!

The infamous night club scene.

The MOVIE thread

While hangin in the hangar putting fo fast-Er stripes on the C-150 heavy, have the Battle of Britain playing on the bushokie rigged hangar entertainment system.

Good background noise. Especially during the dogfighting scenes and using the hangar design an an amplification box and maximoto volume.

Hehehehehehe

Finally saw the Queen movie last night, one of his great lines was when getting bashed by the press the reporter asked, with all your money why don't you get your teeth fixed and he said, I don't want to look out of place in Britain.

stevej37 07-07-2019 12:54 PM

^^^ Great movie! Rami Malek played the part to perfection.
I saw Queen in the 80's doing their 'We are the Champions Tour'
The movie was one of the best.

Sooner or later 07-07-2019 12:57 PM

I watched it to. Pretty good.

JackDidley 07-08-2019 08:46 PM

Anna. I had no idea what this movie was, just picked it at random. Psycological suspense story with good acting . Pleasantly surprised. Two thumbs up from me.

McLovin 07-08-2019 09:04 PM

Haha, this is the thread for me.

I’ve watched 179 movies . . . so far this year!

Rated all of them too.

"Mutiny on the Bounty" last night - the '62 version with Marlon Brando and Trevor Howard.

What a freaking classic!

Brando is outstanding.

The scenery and soundtrack really help push the movie up a few notches too.

I think we went and saw it at the Norfolk Drive-in when it first came out. My Dad was a movie lover.
