I watched this last night with my niece and nephew. (The things you do for kids )
Considering this is the 4th instalment I wasn't expecting much... But wow, what a movie! Absolutely brilliant. Honestly, I couldn't fault it. It takes you on a completely unexpected journey with a surprising outcome. Five out of five stars from me and your wife/husband will love it as well. 97% - TOMATOMETER 94% - AUDIENCE SCORE <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/wmiIUN-7qhE" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
Red 2 on TNT right now. Marvin (Malcovich) is hilarious!
|
El Camino. Netflix sequel movie to the Braking Bad series. Not bad. A lot of crazy stuff going on, as it was in the series.
|
EXPO, on Netflix.
Avoid at all costs. Worse than a high school film class movie. |
I was bored so I watched this last night... One word review - Avoid.
Dreadful movie but it could have been so much better with some simple changes. The story was compelling at first but soon turned ridiculous and the ending was just awful. :( The action was good at times but it didn't last. I felt like I was watching a Mission Impossible movie at times and not in a good way. So many plot holes... Were to begin? As I said - Avoid. You're much better off watching Toy Story 4. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/6orc_lHvJKY" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
A couple heady documentaries on the progress of humankind and our limitations:
Surviving Progress - The Documentary - Official Site https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Future_of_Work_and_Death Something for the youth to consider: "Nearly half of US jobs could be at risk of computerization, Oxford Martin School study shows" https://www.kurzweilai.net/oms-working-paper-on-the-future-of-employment-how-susceptible-are-jobs-to-computerisation http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1578589490.png |
Safe House. Denzel and Ryan Reynolds CIA agents. Saw it about 10 years ago and it was worth watching again.

IMO one of the best scenes of its type ever. |

For sure. One minute bouncing a ball around, the next minute all hell breaks loose. |
Ready or Not, an unexpected fun ride.

Bombshell. Story of Fox news top dog expecting sex from hot young reporters. Margot Robbie, Charlize Theron and Nicole Kidman. How could it not be worth watching ?

That probably would have helped. A movie about a fat old guy harassing a bunch of women wouldn’t be my first choice to blow 10 or 15 bucks.
|
Definitely not a date movie if both of you are, you know, binary.

A simple story shown through the lens of war. It's great and gives the experience of being shot at--impact, then sound. Sam Mendes does cinematography very, very well. |
On Body And Soul, Netflix.
2017. Hungarian/Slovakian dubbed in English. Uncomfortable but very interesting. Superb acting by first-timers. Male lead born in 1953, female lead born in 1981. Sort of artsy-fartsy psychological examination of the intersection of autistic spectrum disorder and a slaughterhouse. I recommend it. |

Other than that...not so much. |
