Midway was alright, especially compared to Pearl Harbor. Low bar, I know... But I went in expecting awful and it was not so bad... I'd watch it on TV, might not pay in a movie theater given a choice...
Knives out was pretty good recently... Also uncut diamonds.. |
It's not overly gory but I wouldn't recommended it for a ten year old.
Midway Rating & Content Info Why is Midway rated PG-13? Midway is rated PG-13 by the MPAA for sequences of war violence and related images, language and smoking. Violence: There is almost constant war-related violence. People are bombed, burned, drowned, and shot. Notable violence includes an individual burning their palms severely, an individual being tied to an anchor and thrown overboard, and the burned remains of several people being shown. Sexual Content: None. Profanity: There is a singular use of extreme profanity, six uses of scatological cursing, nine moderate profanities, and dozens of mild swears and terms of deity. Alcohol / Drug Use: Individuals are shown drinking socially and smoking cigarettes https://parentpreviews.com/movie-reviews/midway |
Thanks. PG and R ratings are easy to figure out, but PG-13 is a huge grey area.

There are a lot of zombie movies, and I'm generally not a fan.
But the Korean film Train to Busan transcends the genre. https://youtu.be/pyWuHv2-Abk It's being remade as an American movie -- which will likely be terrible like most studio remakes are. |

Very good if you like decent Zombie movies... It's got some extra "juice" during a coronavirus epidemic too... |
Just watched this... It's not what I expected. Great movie!

Oblivion. 2004 scifi movie with Tom Cruise. Story of a space man on a devastated earth. way too complicated plot line but I liked it anyway.
|
I liked Oblivion a lot. Decent sci-fi, good effects that weren't over the top. Much more recent than 2004, though.
Just saw The Invisible Man. On the edge of my seat through most of the movie- pretty good. |
