We’re probably going roku this Christmas. But I don’t see tcm as an option. Am I just missing it?

I don't know if some of these TCM movies aren't also available from some streaming service for free. Most of them are the old classics - in other words - the good ones!

I love TCM because it's commercial free.

I hate commercials with the fire of a thousand suns!

I kept my cable box and got my cost down on my bundle by going with Magic Jack for my landline. For me, the value I;m getting with my cable package is worth what I pay each month.

With no wife or kids I can justify a LOT of things, too!

YMMV......;)

Watched “The Grey” the other night with my kids and had to watch “The Edge” tonight. One with wolves the other a bear, both good but I give the nod Anthony Hopkins and The Edge.

If you're a dog lover you need to watch this. Great movie that surprised me.

Also starring Jim Hutton and Katharine Ross.

I didn't read thru all 84 pages of this thread...sorry if this film has already been mentioned.

What would you do if you stumbled on $4M in cash out in the middle of nowhere?

^^^ I thought Hillary was great in that movie.
I wonder what happened to her...she kinda dropped off.

sc_rufctr 07-19-2020 09:43 AM

She's still making movies but Million Dollar Baby was her most popular.
I enjoyed it but the ending was depressing.

The Gentlemen. Drugs, murder and double crossers. I liked it.

^^^ Yes that was excellent.

Huge Grant did really well playing a sleazy scum bag.

BTW The fancy plaid track suits were custom made for the movie.

Watched "3:10 to Yuma" again today.

One of the best modern westerns ever made.

Maybe even better than "Silverdao".

Russell Crow was fantastic!

I loved that movie Baz... I have a rather BIG surround sound system at home and the sounds of the train at the end were great!

Gretchen Mol is always nice to look at. ;)

Agree 100%, Peter.

Russell Crow is a good dude too!

Hard to believe we are at the 20th anniversary of Gladiator!

I should also add I just bought a soundbar for my Vizio and it makes all the difference. It was a Vizio brand and only $65.

I've met Russell IRL. He is genuinely a good guy.
My son was an extra in the movie "The Water Diviner"... A lot of that movie was shot near Adelaide. ;)

Here's my son getting ready for the movie.

And here he is on the extreme left. Note the strap for the shoulder bag he was wearing.

These pretzels are making me thirsty!

Watched "They Drive By Night" with Humphrey Bogart, George Raft, Ann Sheridan and Ida Lupino. Great movie, one of Ida Lupino's best performances.
