My son was an extra in the movie "The Water Diviner"... A lot of that movie was shot near Adelaide. ;)
Here's my son getting ready for the movie.
And here he is on the extreme left. Note the strap for the shoulder bag he was wearing.

Very cool, Peter!

Looks like a great movie too. Perfect role for Crowe. Will try to watch at some point.

Russell Crowe is pretty famous for violent incidents, so I'm not so sure about the nice guy stuff. Anybody can be a nice guy some or most of the time. But, it doesn't bother me. I think he's an excellent actor who's best work was in Gladiator, and next personal favorite is L.A. Confidential. I don't think he would go Rambo on me, as I would be super polite!

I'll see your Ida Lupino and raise you an Edmond O'Brien as Dutton Peabody......"that distinguished member of the Fourth Estate, founder, owner, publisher and editor of the Shinbone Star, Mr. Dutton Peabody, Esquire!"

Dutton Peabody: "Thank you, thank you, Mister Chairman, for those kind words; but why don't you tell them the whole truth: founder, owner, editor, and I also sweep out the place."

Watched it tonight.......

She was fantastically talented, tough to miss with Raoul Walsh

Watching "Breakheart Pass" on GRIT right now. Chuck Bronson and a great supporting cast!

Good thing Jill Ireland was so smokin' hot, because she could not act at all.

I guess so but her movies with Chuck Bronson were pretty epic, regardless.

This is the first time I watched BP from beginning to end and really enjoyed it.

Bronson was something else.

Legend!

Do NOT call him 'Chuck'.... you should know better.

LOL.....he actually said it was OK.

And shook my hand.

And smiled.

While saying it.

On TCM right now - started about an hour ago - a classic from 1964 "Sex and the Single Girl".

Tony Curtis, Natalie Wood, Henry Fonda, Lauren Bacall, and Mel Ferrer, in Panavision.

The film was inspired by the non-fiction book Sex and the Single Girl (1962) by Helen Gurley Brown.

Two more Tony Curtis movies follow. Great actor.

One of the things I love about watching movies from the 60's is seeing the classic and vintage cars, trucks, motorcycles, and other machines that actually had some kind of artistic flair and distinction to the design.

So cool.....

Yes. Hitchcock usually had interesting cars in his movies. The last one that I saw that was intriguing was in the recent Phantom Thread, which was discussed here. A Bristol 405 I guess. I don't know anything about them.
