Ralph the wonder Llama. LOL

Would love to know their labor hours on the project.

Awesome project nonetheless. Side question - has anyone invited them to Pelican? |
When the heck would they have time?
Best Les |
LOL, I could just see it.
They'd log on and at hi, someone would mention a bracket they made and there would be 25 pages of how many better ways there is to do it and why it was the wrong color :) |
There's a new one on YouTube, Episode 22
|
Nice one! Loved the shout-out to Moog on MCM.
‘Not looking for a sex-spec stereo’ |
As usual, an obscene amount of effort for what they get. That stereo setup is cool though! Alpine should sell that... would be great in lots of old cars.

Nice one! Seems like they’re getting close to firing up the engine...maybe next year haha.

Just watched the latest. Good as always.
Anyone want to comment on this? I'm just not OK with all plastic brake lines. Would you do it on a 911? :( Quote:

For all the amazing fabrication skills they demonstrate...
I'm feeling a bit let down by some of the finishing touches. The radio head unit, jeez what an understatement that was I get the feel that for all the effort they have been doing, they'll end up with technically very high end mini, that looks like a very much boring old mini. |

I think i might need to clarify
Surely you have to agree that this radio : http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1551639328.jpg looks like crap. I presume they'll have that fake wood veneer done up with something newer. But that radio and the integration of that radio isn't exactly "fancy". nor are those generic car buttons. Exterior wise, bit similar, it's not like they are making any changes to the overal Mini look. With their fabrication skills they could have done something like turning the panel seams flush (better Aero , cleaner look). Get a more modern front windshield, glued in, again flush, slightly bigger, like 944 type 1 to type 2 change. Let's face it, they have the skills to build something that could come out of Chip Foose's shop, or any other shop. but it's clearly not built by some kind of vision that has any focus on "looks".. |
It’s a Q ship.
Which is my favorite kind of car. I want to see how it’s finished before commenting on the looks. |

It's cool to have something extraordinary that looks ordinary. |
