I'm confused.
Are you crimping a lead sleeve, around a stranded copper cable, over a terminal connector, that you modified into a protruding lug?
The results look good, just not sure how you got there.

There are quite a few custom tools that can be made from vise grips as well. This thread has a few mods and applications:

My first thought, after searching for hours for a reasonably-priced power crimping tool, was to buy a use Craigslist bolt cutter and hog out a recess for a 4 AWG lug.
I found some info on an EV site...emailed the author who sent me the home brewed crimper link.

Or, for just $14 more shipped free, and no time spent hunting for used Craigslist bolt cutters, chopping up a socket, welding, etc...

If you want tinned lugs and can't find them or if you want to tin an assembly, you can tin your own. We did this in house all the time, just melt a chunk on tin solder in a pot and dip the assembly in it. We mostly needed to do this for battery lugs where we needed several hundred at a time. I suppose you could do silver or gold the same way if you wanted.

I looked at those on Amazon and eBay 'til my eyes bled.
What I wanted was a tool that would give me the best cold weld possible...and those don't.
.
Here is what I wanted but not for $140.
Check out those sanitary cold welds!
