Talk me out of it...
![]() 1972 Porsche 914 widebody w/ Subaru EZ - $9800 (Fairfield) Up forsale is my custom 1972 Porsche 914 with a full Rayco widebody kit and a EZ30R 3.0L H6 subaru motor. This car has been great to me, but i bought another car, so now this one just takes up space and i dont have time for it. The engine start ups and the transmission goes into every gear and works as it should, no weird sounds or mechanical problems. This car was built for the intention of track racing, but i went ahead and got it registered to drive on the street which was easy because the car is SMOG EXEMPT! Engine: Subaru EZ30R Japanese pull out motor H6 3.0L Flat Six 24V with 55k miles 242 hp at 6600 rpm 219 lb-ft at 4200 rpm Radiator located to the front of the car with custom hardlines and twin cooling fans stand alone EMS ECU One off custom headers Dual Magnaflow mufflers Drivetrain and Suspension: 1st gen Subaru WRX 2.5 turbo trans with a rear diff lockout New Wilwood adjustable hydraulic clutch master cylinder new clutch (very firm) Custom shift linkage and shifter housing. One off completely custom 930 axles custom made and works perfect. Rated for 800whp.. Custom fabricated rear subframe/engine cradle made out of stainless steal and goes all the way through the middle underneath the car to stiffen the chassis New Bilstien struts at all 4 corners makes it handle a lot better and i have an adjustable coil over conversion for these struts but havent installed them. New steel braided brake likes with speed bleeders Interior/Exterior: Rare Rayco widebody professionally aligned and bonded to the body Brand new factory rubber seal kit complete and unopened all glass is intact (no cracks) Trackspec hood louvre Brand new oem tail lights and 944 running lights/blinkers. 5 point bolt in or weld in roll cage 5 point racing harness NRG Quick release steering wheel. Monster tach Auto meter gauges STR 17x9 +20 wheels on 4x100 adapters so you wheel selection is huge I had a friend at 914sgonewild make me custom the 914/subie and 930 to 914 conversion hubs. So even the axles are now an interchangeable item rather than a hybrid conversion axle. Basically this whole car is custom as hell. Every part is a one off, but I've made sure back ups will be available or be able to be replicated. I just don't have anymore time to build it.. It needs a lot of of finishing butall the hardworkis done. This is the only car like it that exists and it starts, runs and drives perfect. Oh and no rust. The car is very clean! Most of it has been rubber-ized and under coated to protect and prevent from rust. serious buyers only please. might consider DECENT trade offers. Call or text Brian. show contact info anytime. If I don't answer text me. Swap swapped project 914 914-6 hybrid subie suby Subaru custom rare fast mid engine Porsche track car H6 EZ30 EZ30D EZ30R 1972 Porsche 914 widebody w/ Subaru EZ

If that was done with great talent and care, go for it.
If it was built by a hack that thinks JB Weld is the cure for everything RUN.

Doesn't look like a hack job and he was honest about needing to address the fit and finish. If I was in the market I'd consider it...the drivetrain would be great for a 550 Spyder if you get tired of the 914 bod. Or sell it later to someone building a 550!
Sorry didn't try to talk you out of it ![]() |

It's built correctly. No issues of blowing up a 905, or 915...
Check for rust as usual with 914's. Is it 5 lug conversion yet? Doesn't sound like it. Make sure it doesn't over heat. A turbo will be next for that car.

If a 914 is NARP, what the hell is that !?!
I don't mind the body kit. And as long as the build quality is good, the price is pretty killer. Road glue plus.

Now in 993 land ...

Water cooled - and the body looks like garbage. Not 10k worth to me. $5k tops.
I'd drive a 914-6 of the air cooled variety ... G |

For something turn key, race ready "if the cage is legal". I think that's a fair deal.

No way you could build it for that money. You need to drive it, and don't be too slow.
