Alberta legislation limits recovery for fatal accidents, and restricts the availability of civil juries.

Yeah, we used to put pennies on train tracks when I was a young kid, but that was nothing compared to other stupid things I did in my younger days. What was interesting about that was you could hear the locomotive go "bump, bump" when the front wheels hit the coins. I know the engineers could feel it. the pennies sure were cool, flattened disks.

Definately did a lot of stupid stuff and thankful to still be alive. I also regret having a lack of morals and conscience at that age.
Reminds me of the kids drinking gasoline we discussed a week or so ago

Mine was called "orange sunshine" "double barrel lemon drop" and "window paint". Only the Boomers have a shot at recognizing these things.

How should I put this. My hat's off to the kids for dying doing something "wholesome" and dangerous vs. drinking/driving, drugs, etc. I am very sorry for the parents.
I never did anything stupid. Between working 40 hour weeks during junior and senior years of high school and building 240Zs, there was just no time or opportunity to be stupid.

There's a particular 540 spin induced by 50 mph over the limit on a residential street where nobody was even scratched that I still shudder to think about. Trees, poles, transformers, little kids, pets, not my best moment for sure.

I did a lot of things that I am not proud of and regret for sure. I'd be locked up today for sure. I got away with things I now think are wrong. I think being young and cocky equals dumb. I am sorry for my past sins.

That sums it up. Just glad I never killed myself. Or anyone else.

One that comes to mind is I was @17 and driving my Mom's '71 Camaro along with other friends riding around country back roads going nowhere in particular, but fast. We pulled off a side dirt road to hang and drink beer............................yeah......I know underage, breaking at least 10 laws right there.
My buddy in a Cuda wants to race me. I agree but I want to do it right there, on this barely 2 lane back road. I would take the left lane going up hill where you could not see past it. My buddy starts backing off - he says we'll all die - sure as ***** someone will be coming over the hill towards you. The race was for a 6 pack cause to me that was gold as I was underage, he wasn't. No one would ride with either of us....wisely. He decided he would do it. Now I will tell everyone here I knew that road like the back of my hand and when pulling out from the side road, you could just see past the hill as you're pulling out. We do, I look and see nothing - everyone else has no idea. We go and I get him from the dig but he starts pulling on me. Just as we near the top of hill he hits the brakes expecting me to steer right into his lane to avoid a possible oncoming car. I didn't.........................................I was extremely lucky as if anyone had been coming other way the amount of road I could see vs other possible cars speed and covered distance..............I'd / we'd been toast. But then I was confident it was clear ................long enough. I instantly became the local 'hero' of that day - my b*lls bigger than anyone. That scene could have ended so badly, I've actually played it out many times over the years since and realize it was just short of playing Russian roulette while drinking beer...................

I had a 1960 130,000 mile 36 HP VW bug when I was that age. I could not out accelerate a fully loaded 18 wheel truck, really. No drag racing for me. It would do 70 MPH with a tail wind going downhill. On level ground 60 was flat out. Up any hill and it was downshift to 3rd and 40 pedal to the metal.
