I-phone upgrade. What a PITA

Sorry, update

Hate it. Anyone know how to get rid of the first screen? I keep having to press the home button several time to get back to my original screen. My stupid friend suggested I do it. I normally like thing the way they are since I am not a big phone user but text, talk and shoot a few pics with it.

I hope you have better luck than me. Still having "issues" even after the smaller update.

My service provider doesn't have a clue. I'm betting a patch will be released soon.

Things like activating Syri accidentally and slow opening apps.

I've closed all apps and rebooted etc.

Is it just me?
iOS 10 lets you delete native apps

Its slower then watching paint dry. I press buttons and have to wait a few seconds for it to just get to where its suppose to go.

I wonder if there's a way to go back to the previous system. I was happy with it

Agreed - I upgraded on the fly because it kept bugging to everytime I used the phone.....Now I have to learn on the fly w/o having the time to sit down and research for a few days.

It's the Microsoft business model: It's not better, just different. I say to just CALM the F**** down and leave us alone......

I had a problem with messaging. Every time it would spellcheck it would freeze up. Restarted my phone and it went away. Still a PITA, I liked it the way it was.

This makes me laugh because I love the hard home button to activate the phone. I hated the on screen slide function.

Preferences are the bane of designers!

Just yesterday a customer reported that the mike in messaging isn't working. You activate the mike in messaging. It appears for about .5 of a second & then bombs out.

Closed all her apps and restarted the phone. It worked the first time then started bombing out again... So now she typing her messages

Agree with the voice dictation and messaging. After the update voice messaging works 25% of the time now on my 5S. Also no longer working is the BT handsfree with my car stereo. Attempts to answer the phone result in immediate hang up. Worked perfectly for 1 year prior to update. Not so hot for this latest update...

Seahawk, I like the button also, but sometimes it does nothing and the wait time is about 4-5 second then I press again, and it works.

If you have a 6 and beyond you can set it so the fingerprint scan opens the home screen without having push the button. Saves a "click"

I don't understand this thread? To use my phone, I press the home button with my thumb. Nearly instant. Isn't that how you guys do it?

John, the update sucks. A screen comes on with options then press the home button to get to the home screen. It takes several tries and only works sometimes. The map. All it does is tries to take me home. I am sure there's a way to make that stop but haven't learn how to do that yet. All I wanted is to see the traffic jams but wants to get me home.

I honestly have no idea what most of you guys are describing and I've had an iPhone for 7 years. New phone and new iOS are great.

Operator error.

So does everyone else I know who were stupid enough to upgrade

I'll NEVER upgrade again on an apple product, in fact I think I'm done with them.
