It sounds like they were just a bunch of women out having fun probably alcohol involved. I look at the intent which was in poor taste but nothing serious. It wouldn't bother me unless there was damage involved. If thats the worst she's done in life shes a pretty good person.

When I worked in a motorcycle shop in the 70's we had some "difficult" customers. The service manager who was also a mentor to me gave me some very good advice that's served me well throughout my entire life. It went something like this - "If you mess with every a**hole that comes down the road, you'll spend your entire life messing with a**holes... do you really want to spend your life doing that? "

Should have laughed and said that he would give them a ride home.
Then he would know where she lived......

I would let it go. No bad intent on her part. She prob didn't apologize because of being surprised at your reaction.
Liquor was probably involved with her.

She needs to learn some manners.
The OP needs Anger Management class.

i might suggest that opening the door of a stranger's van is pretty risky...as they are reportedly the tool of choice for those who abduct women and children. Even moreso, imagine if she were in her car and a group of inebriated men came up and opened doors. She would likely have been terrified.

I would have likely been annoyed, as it could have just as easily been my classic 911 with the perfect, $10K+ glass out paint job...and she cold have chipped the paint (but I wold not have been visibly upset). I guess any car i would leave with a valet would not be one that would make me crazy if someone touched it.

To many women, a car is just a nondescript tool...no different than a shopping cart. They really do not get it. Especially if it is a practical vehicle like a van. She meant no harm. Let it go.

She did not apologize when you let her know. That is key.

The woman was the type of personality to back into another car and leave. Or back over a kid and leave. It's not her fault. Never.
It's yours for confronting her. Look what you did you male bastard.
Seriously though, who thinks its ever a good idea to just randomly mess with other peoples property right in front of their face?
So disrespectful.
If a group of loud rowdy males walked up to a woman's car and opened her door?

Sleep easy tonight. Unfortunately you had to be the one to teach the lesson she never learned early on.

Pretty much- as long as she doesn't seem like a C*** as well.

Remember boys and girls, it's against the rules to be obnoxious AND ugly at the same time.

She does that trick enough times, she'll find someone who thinks it's a car jacking, and cap her azz in front of her friends.

Damn, is this where everything is devolving?

Am I the only one here to see an opportunity was missed? Sauced women try to hop in to the family truckster. If that isn't a my wife's new submissive harem moment then tell me what is!

OP, it wasn't right, totally understandable your ass lips getting chapped for the moment. I run into all sorts of jackassery every day. Focus and perspective. You and your family are well, safe, and happy. Never lose sight of that. Everything else is simply window dressing.

Thanks for the advice. I normally never get angry, but these people really grind me gears. They are the center of the universe type. I could care less about my cars. My 10 year old was in back and when the door opens he's completely exposed. I know they aren't going to do anything to him, but still.

I can see being annoyed and having some straight forward words with the offender but if you know these people are not a threat and are seeking attention, why give it to them? Is coming unglued more reasonable than opening someone else's vehicle door? Is that the example you want to set for your son?

"Get in if you'd like some candy, little girl" delivered with a Jack Nicholson leer (The Shining) would have been more appropriate.

Sounds like she was in need of a good old fashioned Brooklyn curb bite .
In all seriousness, I would become defensive pretty quickly if I had my family in the car too.
