I don't care how good you are. 32 more miles from south Carolina is just too much!!!
time to find a new wrench.

Since retirement I've wondered how I ever had time to work, so many unfinished projects. I don't have any loyal customers to deal with, just the wife .

Hope your move goes well, John.

There are very few posters on this forum that I appreciate as much as you. Valuable source of good information.

Thanks!

Good luck John and enjoy the extra time on your projects....you are moving 35 miles ..make sense due to the overhead....i have moved all my shop possessions and tools(not all could ship) across the ponds in container..that was not fun at all.
I have finally settled in Czech Republic and slowly discovering all the parts in boxes after 9 years in Europe;-)
best wishes

Ivan

One of my friends was in a similar situation. He just did not want to work full time at it, but could't just quit doing it. He said he just doubled his prices for everything. That left just the customers that REALLY wanted him to do their work. He made more money, and worked less. Win Win.

John, good luck to you! Post-retirement is full of surprises, like, "How the heck will I have time to do this...or that?"

If you are in a situation similar to mine you will be busy beyond belief, more so than when you ran your "away" shop!

Congratulations! I know what a pain moving many years of accumulated stuff will be for you, but once you're settled in it'll be well worth the effort!

Good for you John, I guess this means I won’t be able to drop by and ask my questions in person. See you next time I need something big.

Best of luck, John. I have enjoyed your encyclopedic knowledge of 911s since I joined this PP group. It seems as though I get to the Puget Sound region at least once a year, so I'll just have to make a detour through Marysville on my next trip! Enjoy your new digs!

Thanks for the kind words. Not going anywhere forum-wise. Just finishing my last job, an '88 valve grind and webcam 20/21 cams. Then the month of October to clear out the project cars and equipment. Hope I can do it in a month. Got the shelving and parts out already, and several dump runs.
