Do you hove any info on your rear quarter window seals? Both glass to frame and window to chassis.

Hi Brookieslayer, we recently redesigned Quarter Window Seals for 1965-1977 coupe with hinged window (901 543 901 20, 901 543 902 20), and currently have several pair out for fitment testing. The new version is thinner and the profile has been adjusted to better match the body contour. The batch code for the new version is 9440 or higher.

Our Quarter Window Seals for 1978-1987 coupe with stationary glass are 911 543 035 01 and 911 543 036 01.

This windshield seal basically fits 1965-1989 911 models with windshield trim, see detailed application list here: 911 541 225 03 (click the blue triangle to expand apps). The seal isn't live on Pelican yet (it would be here), we'll send them another message.

Hi everyone, Pelican has the latest-version windshield seal live on its website, but due to interchange part number challenges it won't come up if you search for the exact OE number. Pelican's part number for our seal is 911-541-225-04-M253 (dashes are required, and M253 is their code for URO).

Hey Isby, how did the aluminum trim fit-up into the seal? All good? Your photo/comments just address the seal alone. Also, I am sending a PM on your glass guys (I am local to you and can use a good resource).

Hey Lyle- No issues with the trim. It fit nicely in the seal. I used the genuine Porsche trim pieces from our host.

In the interest of full disclosure, getting the windshield in required (a) carefully gluing down the dried, stretched out vinyl so that it was tight against the back of the pinch weld all the way around; and (b) replacing the upper part of the dash. The old dash had warped just enough to prevent the windshield from seating properly. I used the genuine Porsche dash piece, which was pricey. My glass guys said that some of the aftermarket dash pieces will cause problems with the windshield install.

Hi Brookieslayer, our warehouse has been shipping the updated version of Quarter Glass Seals 901 543 901 20 and 901 543 902 20 for about six months, which can be identified by a batch code in the bottom right corner of the URO label that's 9440 or higher. Couldn't say how many of these seals Pelican keeps on their shelf, but most retail sellers should be shipping the updated version by now.

Since we seem to have drifted from the windshield to the quarter windows, I'm going to take us back towards the front.

Seems like Uro has been making updates to their rubber seals - both in design and the rubber itself. Is this also true of the rubber seals for the movable front vent windows? These are very, very expensive ($80 each from Uro, or $180 each from Porsche). Any updates to the Uro parts here?

I ordered the new URO front windshield seal for my 73 and it fit PERFECTLY! I had previously tried the Porsche seal and I couldn't get it to seat. My son and I installed the URO in about 45 minutes.

Do you offer 964 front or back seals? I'm just about to try retrofitting 964 front (and rear) glass to my 1989 3.2, that missed the factory change to 964 glass & seals by ~75 cars. Have 964 F&R glass in hand.

Just wondering how you guys go about verifying quality of the particular rubber compound being used in your products. I know you have had issues in the past, but what many people don't understand is that many vendors are having durability issues with new compounds of rubber.

That's a good question. On my old '68 Volkswagen I replaced the rubber window seals and within a couple of years the rubber started cracking in the corners. Not saying that will happen with the new URO seals but I wish I'd stayed with genuine seals at the time.
