G vs F body windscreen
Hello, I have a spare g body winscreen that I’m wondering if it will fit in my f body car. I see the part numbers don’t match but was wondering if that might just be because of coloring updates, etc. are they the same shape? The rubber seals are smal part number.
Also, the replacement windshield frame is one part number from 64-89.. maybe I’ve answered the question for myself? ![]() Thanks, Kelly Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Last edited by kclem19; 02-10-2025 at 08:59 PM.. |

Are the same! Differences are colour and if they have the rear view mirror glued on the windscreen or not.
Don't know if you have a seal already but check the new URO seal with the wider lip.

Wow, $2,100 for just the glass!
11 years ago I had a new Sigla windshield installed for just $500. The did reuse the old seal. That is some big inflation.

That's the cost of the metal windshield panel. The OP was identifying that it was the same for 64-89 cars. Glass is still pretty cheap for our cars!

I just replaced my G-Body windshield, and the dealer that did it said the "superceded" replacement windshield in Porsche's parts list has a radio antenna in the windshield. (There was also a question whether it was tinted, not tinted and the sun band at the top of the windshield or no sunband.) After some finagaling, I did get a correct Sigla G replacement windshield without the antenna, so I would make sure the windshield you need has or doesn't have the radio antenna in the windshield, depending on what you have in your car. Also, depending on how original you want it, the tint and with or without sunband can be variable.
