Well, for track cars, yes. If you want your wife to journey with you and have heat, then it's probably a good investment.

I have a set of SSI' s from my 3.0. I just bought a low mileage 92 3.6. Can I use my existing SSIs with this with slight "hammereing". I know bill posted that's what he did, but is it different for a 964 engine vs a 993?

Yes, it is different for a 993. The 993 has the passenger side studs oriented in the wrong directionfor SSI flanges. This is not a big issue as the 993 heads are predrilled for the correct stud positions.

Here is a 993 exhaust port.
