Where To Get Boxster Brake Bits?

I'm looking for a set of used Boxster rear brake calipers, the adaptors to fit them to the rear of an 89 3.2L Carrera, and the oft-recommended 23mm Mercedes master cylinder.

- For the used calipers, does anyone have a good Porsche junkyard to recommend, that has a lot of later-model stuff?
- For the adaptors, does anyone know who makes them? (I'm going to call TRE of course, but I was just wondering if there are other sources).
- For the master cylinder, any convenient online source?

As background I have just bought a set of Boxster calipers and adapters for the front, at a quite reasonable price, so I figure on rounding up the bits for the full four-corner conversion. Intended application is mostly to, ahem, look nice. There, I said it.

I don't see why your are doing this exept perhaps for the look.
If you are toasting your rotors you will only wake it worse by more clamping power. If you want upgrade do it proberly with C2/993 calipers/930 rotors. If you don't have the money add some cooling.

As I said, it is mostly for the looks. It was either this or the chromed wheel spinners.

I've read all the brake upgrade threads I could find here, and I'm about 70% convinced that I'm not getting much functional improvement from the Boxster brakes. (The remaining 30% of me, that is not convinced, is that way because some people do report good experiences and I don't think it is likely that TRE would sell a worthless upgrade.) But all I'm going to do this year is street and AX, so I'm not stressing any part of my brakes anyway.

Is it really worth "the looks" if you don't need them?

Well, I was just going to paint the brakes red . . .

The whole thing started with an impulse buy of a front brake upgrade kit. Now that my true shallow vanity is exposed, I'm going all the way. Wax my legs, pluck my eyebrows, etc.

emcon, I'll probably sell the old calipers.

It's funny. No one on this board has to apologize if they polish their Fuchs out, or go to a RUF CTR look, or backdate to an early car look, without any corresponding improvement in performance. But brake calipers -- when done just because they look cool -- always invite a little bit of finger wagging.
