First post of my new to me 84 - got it 6 weeks ago - at the same time as a shoulder repair so have only driven it once. Today being the first day of winter and 60 degrees here in SW Connecticut seemed like a good day for a last drive, wash wax and bed till March!

Sorry for what appear to be random messages. They didn't include the original message (oops). The one I was calling my favorite was the black long hood, wide body beauty (pg 97 iirc). The engine bay comment was in reference to the white Targa (just in out of the rain) on about pg 98 I believe.

The nonsense spouted about Targas comes from a combination of:

1) Lack of expertise in refurbishing 30 year old roofs, then wondering why they don't fit.

2) Refurbishing roofs not on cars, then wondering why they don't fit properly when the plates don't align.

3) People who can't repair roofs, selling the cars on to people who also don't know.

The Targa was more expensive new (certainly in UK). They didn't leave the factory with rain coming in through seals.

Anyway, that's my moan over!

Here is mine - don't look too closely otherwise you'll see why the top has been stripped down. At least if you're looking at the roof, you're not looking at the rust
