Bought this a couple years ago sight unseen for parts, super cheap. Went to pick up and it was WAY to clean part out, so I'm restoring as a pseudo backdated hot rod. Close to being done, here's a teaser shot.

I'll add to the thread. Here is a 1971 911T all original, matching numbers, 54K miles. The paint is original, but sun damaged and an after market radio installed in the late 70's. I started to make it road safe after sitting outside for 7+ years not starting.

Was the "Targa" script gold for the SC years, or only on the earlier cars, up to 1971?

I ask because I'd like to convert the Targa script to gold (current = alum.) on my Minerva Blue '78 with chrome trim and dull gold calipers. I think it is a nice accent.

Gold was not on SC or Carreras.

I believe gold was only available on SWB cars.
