Probably longer.

Just finished restoring the 15x7 and 15x8 Fuchs last fall. Running 205/65 and 225/60 Ohtsu FP7000 tires. Looks beefy.

Just browsed through this. Lots of nice Targas posted here. I've posted these pictures before, but not in this thread. So what the heck.....

Wife's '88 Targa, affectionately know as "Hygge" Photos taken day after Christmas.

If curious about this unusual '88, I wrote it up a while back:
The full story of Hygge

^^^ Nice partial backdate on late Carrera Targa... wonder if ordered that way or previous owner made changes? Cookies, stainless Targa band, bright window trim, and striped cloth center seats.

Considering the color.. 999 for this model year (Viper green met ?) it may been ordered this way.

Nice unusual car! Enjoy!

yes Onboost, this was a special order car. It was delivered from the factory with chrome trim and the cookie cutters. Color is 999 Emerald Green Metallic, but I think viper green and emerald green are very close. Possibly just different names used different years?

glad I started looking at this forum again. been so consumed with my 928, then 944S, then 951, and now 930 projects the targa has not gotten much attention since I retired it from DE and reverted to stock look other than the occasional top off drive in the country.

I have owned it twice. it was my first Porsche, bought in 1989, drove it and it remained stock until I sold it in 1997, when changing jobs and wife's car old and dying and needing replacement.

new job working so started looking. guy who bought it go a 930 so selling. when I brought it home, wife goes out in the garage and declared "the B!+(H is back".

went to my first DE not long after. time and a few DEs later started morphing. modest engine and suspension upgrades as I refreshed the entire car, then put in the bolt-in cage/seats.

decided to retire from the track about 3 yrs ago, have pretty much reverted to stock appearance. still have a few minor things to finish.

got a 86 951 for my current DE car.

dressed for the track.

returned to stock, won a people's choice at a local Porsche car event last year, thats the blk 87 944S next to it I build and sold to my Bro.

a nice summer drive to historic and quaint Rabbit Hash, KY

A work in progress

BEFORE-When purchased 6 months ago

AFTER-With Peppy 3.0 ltr, SSI'S, Sport 2 in 2 out muffler, and 17" Replica Fuchs added. She's coming along, but I'm struggling with if I should add the ducktail or leave it alone. Thoughts are welcome.
